Gotta think it will be in New Jersey given the teaser photo. Prudential Center maybe.

Can someone in a band explain to me why so many tours skip the northwest? We’re not THAT far out of the way.

I've heard that the drive up to Portland from Northern Cali is kinda dangerous for nightliner buses, and bands don't wanna waste time going through the plains to get up there

Some bands (mainly Issues) said the mid-size venues in Seattle didn't wanna book them, but wouldn't say why

Part of its the drive, coming up from California you gotta go over the pass which gets real bad in winter and coming from the east isn't much better.

Part of it is a product of circumstances, the NW doesn't draw as well so bands don't book here. But they don't draw as well because they don't play as much and get the exposure.

Thanks! Bummer; but it’s nice to get an idea. We still get plenty of shows, but seeing the stuff I coUld be getting if I was still in Chicago is kind of disappointing.

eh, it's not so great when we inevitably lose 4-6 great tour packages every year to Riot Fest/Lolla

yeah but we still get everything major rolling through here depending if its a tour or festival and for those great tour packages that end up playing lolla or riot fest. them playing those they get more time then they would on the regular tour so...

We need one seriously great festival in Portland. Pickathon is eh and bumbershoot is too far.

Old school fans will love that Misfits show, the openers are great. Believe it is going to be announced Sunday or Monday.

Agreed. Musicfest/Project Pabst is lame. Musicfest actually used to be pretty awesome when it was at different venues around town and have headlining shows at Pioneer Place, but it's been greatly watered down since moving to the waterfront.

are the openers younger bands in the vein of them? I can totally see like MIW opening for them.
