I typed up this big thing about the Enzo situation and then I realized I just don't give a fuck about him or his perceived innocence.

 

MMC week 2 thoughts:

- Miz & Asuka are a fun team. It's a shame they have to lose their next match

- Thought Beth was noticeably better this week. Probably because she didn't talk as much

- Match was only about 90% as good as Week 1, which kinda bled into everything else.

- If everybody sold Asuka like Carmella did at first, she'd be a much better character/more over.

- Holy shit, Chioda with the loudest fucking call out I've ever heard in my life. ASUKA'S GOIN OVER. Makes Cena look subtle

 

Started to do the same thing yesterday about how his accuser wasnt super credible...which may ultimately be true...but this is honestly reason enough to fire anyone not named Cena or Reigns. Especially at this current moment, and since the Rich Swann thing happened recently.

 

Also, Enzo far and away wins the lack of awareness Olympics:

 

Yeah, the thing I was going to post was about something that came out today that may also be 100% bullshit. There is so much shit going on that it's just not worth a second of my time to sift through it all. Too many internet detectives out there claiming to have cracked the case. Enzo is gone, and he isn't coming back. Totally cool with that, regardless of the end result of all of this.

Im curious what the "He or She" means for the general manager. I imagine they will get as far away as possible from the Nia storyline, but that would actually be kinda fascinating. Otherwise, I cant imagine a female GM for them

Why fire him in the first place? A suspension would have been fine.

If this all ends in his favor, he'll be fine without wrestling.

If it doesn't, he can try his Smacktalker Skywalker routine in prison.

 

Not to mention that the two valets (Alexa + Carmella) are pretty much all that's left of their NXT teams.

 

because he hid the investigation from them. that's a big no-no. it doesn't matter whether or not he ends up being innocent, that's a fireable offense.

 

What I'm asking is why would they bring him back?

The dude sucks as a person and a wrestler. He has no place in the company. The talent don't like him and still make him dress outside the locker room.

When you actually say it out loud, it is beyond insane what Enzo did.

He wins the CW title, loses it briefly, and wins it back just 2 days after the alleged rape, at TLC. The story sits dormant for 3 months...in the meantime, Weinstein goes down publicly, dozens of other men go down publicly, even within the WWE, Rich Swann is suspended. At no point does Enzo think "hey, maybe I should let them know of this allegation".

Even if it lacks credibility at every level, Enzo let them hand him the title back and build the 205 show around him, all while this bomb was ready to go off any day.

 

Dude. If they released him that quickly. He ain’t ever comin back. Whether the allegations are true or not the fact is he still was hanging around super sketchy people and using who knows what kind of serious drugs while partying. WWE wants nothing to do with that kind of character. Hes gone for good.

This is kinda a pointless argument, because nobody knows "why" they released him. Given how prominently positioned he was on 205 before all this (and on Raw), I don't think they really have a problem with his character, or who Enzo is. So I feel fairly confident it's the refusal to disclose everything.

Releasing everyone that comes under investigation is a really bad look, because sooner or later one of them is gonna be innocent and then you look terrible. I would think that's why with guys like Swann and Adam Rose they're kept on, but suspended until the legalities unfold.

Also,

Bruh, this part is ridiculous. "Whether the allegations are true or not." What. So he was fired for partying and doing drugs? How many people on the roster would you guess party a lot? I know this part is a strawman, but I just flashbacked to early 2000s with guys like Flair, HBK, Road Dogg, Pillman etc. and imagined them getting fired for partying and doing drugs and lol'd. Anyway, WWE does test for that stuff, and plenty of guys from top to bottom have gotten popped (and it's not like Enzo is protected), so I really don't think that's it.

Is it possible they'll say that violating whatever WWE policy (by hiding an ongoing investigation) is in itself enough to keep him away? Sure. I just don't think so.

You guys are making my argument so easy. All I'm saying is if he's cleared of all this and if the CW stuff is still going strong (i.e. there's still a spot for him), that I think there's a shot he comes back. How can you guys be so sure he's done for good when you don't even know how his situation will play out?

 

Uhhh hey M Lee I’m not sure if you know this but these guys read Reddit so their sources are pretty air-tight.

There’s a bunch of stupid know-it-all’s on there but these guys aren’t like that.

Now obviously we won’t know anything for sure until Dave Meltzer speaks (at which time the case will be closed, obviously) but in the meantime I think my guys know what they’re talking about and I don’t appreciate you challenging them.
