Great record, a few odd experiments but it sounds like Pino Palladino was a great choice to hire for bass, the whole album is crisp and funky

And how do you beat lyrics like "waitin on you like a tax return"

Seriously this song is so fantastic

It was their 3rd single from this album (out of 8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I love dysentery Gary for nostalgic reasons. Sure it’s lyrics are bad but I’ll take it over a nickleback Song any day

family reunion is a joke song. it's intentionally profane.

it's not problematic it's profane. NB is objectifying and disgusting. they aren't joking, or doing it for shock or laughs. they actually think this way.

you should tweet at jack from bleachers and tell him what you're doing.

I'm just saying that the lyrics in Dysentery Gary are worse (and more offensive) than some of the NIckelback lyrics (Never Gonna Be Alone, for example)

 

My overall point is that it's a little ridiculous to say that EVERY Blink lyric is better than EVERY NB lyrics.

Both bands have some really bad lyrics.

I can't even imagine listening all the way through a Nickelback album.

There are certainly worse bands though.

I agree with this.

At the time the guys in Blink were early to mid 20s (I think?). That doesn't excuse it really, but I like to think that they've matured over the past 20 years. But yeah, NB is still putting out overtly offensive stuff.
