peppers is definitely a choice. It depends on how they wanna go. If they get someone like a Op Ivy or Husker DU or Talking heads or REM or Smaching Pumpkins...then the other headliners dont have to be as humongous.

Nine Inch Nails, QOTSA, Jawbreaker..... Misfits, Morrisey, Flamin Lips.... No Doubt, System, modest.

I have no idea how much these bands cost but i figure Peppers is on the same level as Nine Inch Nails (maybe a tad more). Op ivy is obviously on the same list as Jaw/Misfits....and the 3rd headliner is always a bittt weaker.

I have no idea how much a My Chem reunion would cost.

 

Surprised to see so many people hoping for NMH this year. I really thought they might happen when they were active a couple years ago but I’d definitely be surprised if they came back out of the blue for it now. I would be sooooo happy to be proven wrong though.

 

You forgot a big one. It's a bit dated now, but... Blink-182, Fall Out Boy, and the Replacements. That one was massive. I'd imagine a My Chem reunion would cost more than Blink-182 and Fall Out Boy both did back then. If I had to blindly guess.

Operation Ivy and the Talking Heads would both obviously be a top-liner, but I'm not convinced that Operation Ivy will ever happen (though, I'd be stoked if I were proven wrong) and I don't think Husker Du would be a huge deal in the same way the Replacements, Jawbreaker, or the Misfits were... Certainly not top-billed. Jawbreaker isn't really all that huge on paper, but there's a mythos and an obnoxiously dedicated fanbase. Husker Du doesn't really have that.

 

i think i'd agree with you when it comes to Husker Du. Talking Heads could pull it off, Op Ivy obviously...but i do agree that the umpf of Husker Du wouldn't be at that humongous proportions

although the again, even though i knew how popular Jawbreaker was, i probably would've said the smae thing about them

I agree. Do you think they would be more expensive then System of a Down? They feel and seem like the most expensive act they've ever gotten (not knowing how much Danzig demanded)

 

They might be, the demand is so high and it's not a specific age group that would get excited. But yeah I would assume System and Misfits are the most expensive so far

 

Arctic Monkeys are all but confirmed for Lolla. There's a guy on reddit that has (accurately) leaked Lolla bands for years, and he says AM are playing, so unless his streak is up, they'll be at Lolla.

I would do bad things to get Neutral Milk Hotel here.

 

Predicting the Lolla headliners with all The other festival linesup out is so much easier now and I couldn’t have a single guess of who’s headlining riot fest. I hope this year we get people who have never played before

Wondering if FTHC could be a dark horse pick. Idk if he's ever done Riot, has done Lolla recently (2015 or 2016 I think), and has a new album coming out this year.

Really gotta believe ETID will be there. They'll be in Kentucky the Wednesday before, and they're playing just a few sporadic shows with FOB that month. I can't imagine they just play 3 shows opening for FOB and call it a month.

I'd imagine they're going to announce some smaller headline shows around the FOB dates... And a Riot Fest appearance, haha.

I think we have a good shot at the Gaslight Anthem, but I'm guessing that the Menzingers will be on Lollapalooza this year (they're doing a bunch of the bigger/more mainstream festivals this year and they did Riot Fest last year). Not sure about the other bands, though I'd love to see PUP on the bill!
