Look, obvi homemade syrup is THE GOAT. I’m not disputing that at all. I sometimes make this buttery syrup that is delicious. But yeah store bought syrups I’m going Mrs Butterworths all day long.

I prefer tea to coffee. and I'm not sure what a crumpet would be compared to here.

Crepes are good, but they're not a replacement for, nor in competition with, pancakes for me. They satisfy different needs.
