I told my friends I'd go out with them tonight, and I already bailed after I said I would last week cus I got my wisdom teeth out last minute but now I just kind of want to stay in and listen to some records and play video games sigh it sucks being popular (jk)

Is it possible to do both? Maybe go out but only for a little bit. Or, just stay home but define honest with them. I really appreciate when a friend just straight up tells me that they want to just stay home and be alone rather than make something up.

This is a little different, but last night my buddy bailed on me without a word. Just never texted me back. Then today I get a text from him saying, “sorry about last night, I just needed a night to be emo by myself.” Like, that is totally fine and if he had told me last night I would have completely understood. Just tell me no! Lol

 

Haha I pretty much just hang out with my same friends from elementary/middle school. I have like 2 friends from college I still hang out with sometimes.

 

Yeah that’s my problem. I can’t stand any of the friends I had from that time period. They were all bad people but I haven’t met anyone in college so I have no friends lol

 

Ehh not really cus I live in the 'burbs, so if we go somewhere it's not really realistic for me to leave on my own like it would be in the city or anything. I mean I could get an uber but it'd cost me a ton and they'd assume something was wrong.

But yea if I end up not going, I'll definitely be honest haha. We have several people in our group who will agree to plans and then just completely ghost us. I usually guess before it happens whether they'll actually show or not. People are shady af smh

 

Yea I actually am really lucky with the friends I have from high school. It's a good group. But I feel that way about most my college friends. I wouldn't say bad people in my case, but I ended up joining a frat basically cus my roommate and other good friend I met when I started college did. It was fun for a while, but I just have nothing in common with 99% of the people I hung out with in college and now they all go out to clubs and stuff and that's not my scene at all. If I'm going to go out I want to go find like a dive bar or something more low key.

Sometimes I wonder if I didn't go to so many shows how little I would actually leave my house.
