Chicago wants in on another tech office chase after Apple says it plans new campus

Because this won't at all happen to the residents of Chicago or anything once Amazon and/or Apple set up shop.

  13. Having grown up in the 90s I can’t get over that this is true. If you told me that this would happen I woulda laughed in your face.

What are we supposed to do about it though? It seems like whether or not people care about something is irrelevant. People are powerless.

It’s weird to watch and it’s frustrating, but its hard for me to care about something like an affair he had when so much else is going on. And caring about it will only make me more frustrated cause there isn’t shit I can do anyway.

Why do they need 60 votes to avoid the shutdown? Is it because of CR shenanigans? Could they avoid the shutdown without the CR or any dem support, just not be able to do everything they want that way?

So its not entirely fair to say that because republicans have a majority, they should be able to push something through without the help of the democrats. There are checks in play that ensure some level of compromise goes into the bill. But its still on the republicans to find that workable compromise.

  18. In the house it is for sure up to them.

They need 60 for the full spending bill in the senate, 50 for CR I think. I don’t remember exactly.

Youtuber should follow Democrats. My feed was full of it today. From the so-called mocked “resistance”. And the 'bigger players' are focusing on DACA and chip atm. Which, is not bullshit/nothing.

Here’s fucking Tulsi Gabbard talking about it. There's a huge two day push left on DACA and the activists get called full of shit and “crickets” cause there’s a lot going on this week. Just absurd and predictable.

The article literally acknowledges this. Did you read it?

  23. That article is from April how does it acknowledge today and this week?

Oh my fault, I thought the article was attached to the original tweet, didn't see the date. I'm twitter illiterate.
