About to get on the subway to go home, when I resurface I hope something cool is announced.

 

Only a company like Nintendo would come up with something like that.

Thing's super neat but not something I'd probably ever get for myself. I'd definitely grab one for my 3 year old nephew though, he'd love it.

Never change, Nintendo. I would have loved this when I was a kid.

 

The Labo stuff seems interesting. Especially if they can turn it into a development platform, allowing others to create their own templates and games for them.

Success will probably hinge on just how responsive and durable things wind up being. DOA if its easy to screw up the build or the cardboard starts to lose shape after a little bit of use. But could work if its sturdy enough.

 

It’s cool that Nintendo are still trying to innovate. I’m sure the age group this is aimed at will love it but like Clucky said I guess it depends on the durability of these things and if there’s more ways to develop it from here with new (or custom) templates.

I asked my sample group of my 7 year-old sister and her friend about their opinions on Labo and they both said that they wanted it so I think that Nintendo may be on to something.

Also makes me laugh because in Filipino, “labo” is an adjective that we use to refer if something/someone is confusing which is pretty accurate.

not anything relevant to me and my interests, but this type of innovation is what will keep the switch relevant while it continues to get blown out of the water spec-wise
