Sunshine Riptide that song you vibe out to. This record is insane. Rewriting the playbook for sure with this one. Something to love in every track, particularly the Soul Punk vocal qualities sprinkled throughout.

This sounds so familiar to me. The way he sings it. I think I'm recalling something from a Set It Off record? Hmmm...

What track is this? I'm feeling that lyric "bigly".

 

It's a nice breather between the first 6 tracks and the last 3.

 

"young and menace" works surprisingly well as a penultimate track. total chaos before the end

Re: Patrick's vocal performance, in this interview he said he recorded the vocals for this album alone as opposed to being in a studio with someone, which allowed him the "singing in the shower" freedom to really go all out instead of having the anxiety of someone else there

 

That "Mr. Stump" in the background of Church at the end of the second verse is such a neat detail

 

maybe people will finally chill out about this now

Need to give this a few spins I think. Wilson came around for me in a big big way after being pretty meh on first listen

 

Not a huge fan of "ARE YOU SMELLING THAT SHIT?" as a lyric on Stay Frosty, but it'll normalize for me soon.

Intro to Heaven's Gate tho...

 

"stay frosty" is like the most furious fob song since "west coast smoker"

 

I can't believe I thought Wilson would be my favorite track on here. It barely cracks my top 5 right now lol
