huh thats funny, i didnt even realize. Alexa Bliss hasn't defended the title on TV in 3 monhs...and only wrestled on tv, in general, only twice (since TLC on 10/22)

What are we thinking here? Royal Rumble surprise or is he going to be front row at TakeOver Philly?

 

Neither. His Impact stuff won't air until late March/early April. I know Anthem is more open to guys going and doing their own thing, but WWE isn't as accepting of that. I don't think we see him until MAYBE the Raw after Mania. It'd be cool if they paired him with Spud again, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

 

You're probably right (especially since I don't actually know when his contract is up with Impact), but to be fair, I lost track of what WWE is "accepting of" when they let GFW Amped air last year with Bobby Roode, Eric Young, etc. lol

 

Its a really weird thing. WWE usually wants to give guys three months before debuting them because they don't want it to look like they were communicating with guys while they were still under contract. Dijak was a pretty big example of this going wrong. There are also no-compete clauses in a lot of these contracts. Ricochet wasn't allowed on live tv again until three months after the LU finale.

The Roode/Young thing is really weird because that stuff was filmed years ago. Since it falls under the umbrella of their previous contract, it could be aired at any time. The way they recorded the audio is fucked up, but its Jarrett, so you know. It was more like airing a rerun.

It could end up going a lot of different ways. Impact did their version of the loser leaves town match, so he is 100% done there.

One neat little tidbit is that he was trying to win the rights to the EC3 name. It'll be interesting to see if he continues to use that or goes back to Derrick Bateman or whatever he went by.

 

i highly doubt he’s Derrick Bateman again regardless of if he brings EC3 over, nothing positive associated with that name lol

 

Good theory. I actually thought of going Total Divas heavy, but figured that might be enough of a storyline for Bliss

 

Her as RAW womens champion has been a disaster all the way around.

 

Wonder if Paige makes an announcement tomorrow? If she does and I’m there, I would have been there for her main roster debut and her retirement. Between that and witnessing her and Del Rio in person I think I am now qualified to write an unauthorized bio for her

 

Pretty sure right after they settled the matt hardy thing they agreed for current TNA stars to use any of their names and gimmicks outside of TNA. Pretty sure he’s free to use EC3, it’ll just butba decision by WWE

 

Lashley is done in TNA too

 

I’m curious to see what they do. They may call him EC3 but never actually say the words “Ethan” and “Carter.” On the other hand, if Dixie Carter would get shown on a promo for Kurt Angle’s special, maybe it’s not out of the realm of possibility that he’s Ethan Carter III in WWE and not just EC3.

EDIT: if Billy Corgan wasn’t trying hard to distance himself from TNA he would put the NWA title on Aries for sure.
