I have a couple questions...

In Apple Music for me it’s showing 10 songs for the Ten Years and Counting album. I don’t have Falling Down or Burning Years. Anyone know what’s up with that?

And didn’t we already cover The Unheard Voice? (during the ITWOD bracket)

 

I’m including it again to even out the brackets.

Yeah I was actually going to vote Page because I like it as a song better, but the solo in Sidewalks deserved a vote.

This was my first time hearing most of these songs (or at least this version of the songs)!

 

My favorite version of Sidewalks is actually the Live in the Lou version. Solo rules.

 

What did you think Of them as a first time listener??

 

Sidewalks is fine, but I don’t think the 10 Years version is too drastically different from the original album version. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

What ya think? I think Hero Will Drown and Dive Right in are better than the originals. Also love the piano version of Until the Day I Die with an unexpected guitar solo bridge.

 

They were enjoyable, but I think I prefer the original versions in general. Still, it was pretty cool to hear a new, fresh take on the songs!

 

Same here. I like that other songs sound so much different. For me Sidewalks and Shallow the Knife are amazing songs but on 10 Years and Counting they seemed like easy translations without a lot of work going into them like the rest of the album.

 

In The Shadows was quite a bit different than the album version too!

 

It’s also a little odd that they didn’t do 10 Years Versions for Burning Years or Falling Down. I’m sure there’s a reason (but I don’t know it)

 

Ran out if time they said. I would have loved to see what Burung Years and Falling down would have sounded like.

I can’t take The Unheard Voice seriously as they were signed to a major label when they wrote it.
