    Felt more? Like, anger?

  2. Well, this was fun. I chuckled several times. Discovering that Zemo was listening to voicemails from his dead wife actually hit me a little bit. Reminds me of Jesse checking his voicemail in Breaking Bad.

Also, I like this Spider-Man. He could actually deliver some of that Spidey humor, thank god.

The movie gets so good after the airport. It was good up to that point but kicked into a higher gear for me when things got personal between Steve and Tony. I didn't realize how invested I was but I seriously flinched thinking Steve was going to slam his shield down on Tony's head at the end.

Also Black Panther is the coolest dude.

Finally saw this last night; loved it. Marvel is just printing money with these films. Can't wait for more

I really enjoyed the fight between Iron Man and Captain America/Winter Soldier in the Soviet missile plant. When the camera panned behind Iron Man when he was on his knees between the two, I was in complete awe. Beautiful cinematography.

Really really enjoyed this, but I'm not 100% sold on Spidey yet. I feel like they totally could have done this movie with Andrew Garfield. Not really enjoying this pattern of shoehorning major characters (spider-man, batman) into films without backstory.

Do you really need to see another Spider-Man origin? And we even got to see the Wayne's die for like the billionth time.

I am definitely down with just diving into the character without rehashing the backstory

not origin, but at least a movie to get us in the mindset of this person is so and so. Maybe incorporate a marvel character into it (like how ant man had falcon).

I love what Avengers did, but the downside is that now everyone wants every character to have their own film beforehand. If I recall correctly, X-Men and Guardians of the Galaxy didn't need films setting up the characters. Also, the highlight of BvS was Wonder Woman, who was "shoehorned." You don't need the Spider-Man, Batman, and Black Panther solo films before they appear elsewhere. You don't need to understand Vision or Scarlet Witch and their powers to enjoy the characters. Just enjoy the ride.

I dont think that every character needs its own movie. I very much disagree with that. I just think establishing the most popular superhero in the world might take more than a 5 min intro, regardless of what we have seen before. Obviously Marvel wants us to forget what we have seen.

  12. Watched it again last night and liked it more afterwards. I've had the same argument now 3 times with friends who were really put off by :cap: in this movie, whereas I sided with him for the most part. I thought the gray areas in the conflict were presented well and pretty straight forward, but my friends weren't having it ha. People really like:ironman:.

Eh, he had a specific purpose for this movie and he did it well. We have his movie next year. Don't see the big deal.

This being Spider Man's introduction into this world is one of my favourite things about the new Spider Man.

I agree, its not a huge deal. I enjoyed him and the movie, and the Russo Brothers did a great job with what they had in terms of finding a way to include him.

lol no, but I full well understand I am one of the few who really dug BvS, and probably one of the fewer that dug BvS more than CW.

I liked the movie. Spider Man's introduction was awesome. But I can't help but feel like something was missing. The film didn't feel whole and complete. It's like it's one big "middle" so to speak. I realize that the Civil War theme is unique and pits the sides against each other as if one is the "villain", but the lack of good villains is still a big problem with the Marvel universe films. Helmet Zero has got to be the most boring villain in superhero film history. And like I said, I get that this is a different concept but still. There should be a great villain always.

    I'd give the film a solid B.

He's pretty easily the best MCU villain.

  22. I simultaneously liked him and thought he was almost unnecessary. His motivations are realized, but the logistics of his plan border on ridiculous.

Which doesn't say much. Even with Deadpool, I'm thinking, Ajax AKA Francis?! That's the best you can do?!

    @fangclubb Prestigious

It doesn't but he's the most fully realised villain with actual reasons for his actions. He's a great change of pace and as Henry says the most human.

Yeah I liked him. Still waiting for one of these movies to have a villain as strong as the netflix shows.
