incredibly happy about dark souls on switch. having that on the go will be amazing. still bummed about no vc/online announcements.

 

Playing right now! His move set is so fun, it's cool how they kept the feel but changed up the mechanics so much for a totally different experience.
Is the Plague Knight alternate quest different also or is it just the main game with a diff character?

 

Absolutely going to get: Kirby, Donkey Kong, Hyrule Warriors.

Those latter 2 I’ve been wanting to buy for my Wii U for a while. When the fuck am I ever gonna play my Wii U if they keep porting things?

 

I'm disappointed in payday 2 being there because they have had actual terrible support for any of the console versions

 

It's closer to the main game but different enough that you should play it. I thought his move set was a little more challenging to but its also a blast once you get into it.

very cool direct. very excited for twewy, one of my favorite games ever and the only reason it dropped out of my top 10 is because i havent played it in so long. i played pokken and it's fine but it bored me somewhat quickly, but if they are going to continue to support it with new characters i might have to pick it up. also have never played dark souls yet and ive always wanted to and this seems like a good place to start.

I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. I know once VC comes out, I'll be putting most of the switch titles on hold to replay some classics. I don't see a lull in games happening any time soon, but I do hope they bite the bullet and drop us a Sunshine port. I want to be able to run around Delfino Plaza poolside. How awesome would that be??

 

I just want a port of Tokyo Mirage and I'll be happy. Want the Wii U gone from my place with Bayonetta 2 coming to Switch. Those were the only 2 titles I was holding onto.

 

I won’t ever get rid of my Wii U but once Smash comes out (hopefully a new one and not a port) then I’ll barely have reason to play it

Old games will come back, VC as we know it won't

 

I keep hearing people say this but never any reason why.

 

Three reasons:

1. Because it would have been there by now, there is no reason it would not have been here since launch in the same form that it was already present as on WiiU or 3DS.

2. They talked about how a changing library of old games will be tweaked and attached to their online service.

3. They said that they're still looking at how to bring something like it back when they were asked about the VC earlier this year, which in combination with reason #1 means they're clearly not satisfied with the existing WiiU/3DS/Wii version. It makes sense, it has been in decline since the Wii.

Personally, I hope they figure out something new, because the emulation has often been bad (except for the SNES games on New 3DS) and the library hasn't been great since the Wii, but old VC is fine with me too.

 

Too.... many.... games.....

I can't keep up with all of the ones I want, and that's ignoring the robust indie presence too. Dammit Nintendo!
