Owens doesn't need it right now. I loved how passionate he sounded about HIS IC BELT at payback and I think this is the right thing to do for now. I can't think of a guy that so desperately needs it more than Bray.

 

Observer is saying most of the stuff going around about that Honolulu house show is false. They said even talent believed the rumors. It will not be a Network special. The reports of Lesnar/Owens are incorrect and that Lesnar won't be on the show at all. Charlotte/Asuka is possible as Asuka will be on the card but it isn't official. Nakamura is on the card but him vs Cena isn't official at all.

 

Why?

 

I think a few matches should be 100% locks for next mania: ko/zayn, shield triple threat (this is probably where the title goes), and probably taker/cena. If they do anything else, I think they're fucking up.

 

Continuing the releases: apparently Lilian Garcia and Christian are next. Christian isn't an active wrestler anymore so him being released from that contract effectively changes nothing, the Edge and Christian Show is a separate deal.

We've noted how there have been many rumors of more WWE releases being announced soon. According to PWInsider, another round of cuts is expected to be announced after the May 22nd Extreme Rules pay-per-view. WWE usually announces releases on Friday, which means they could announce the next set as soon as May 27th unless they decide to wait.

We've also been heard rumors of another surprising WWE release, a women's star and one who would be considered a top Superstar. It was noted that "stays of execution" are always possible for some talents who go through late negotiations but it sounds like officials already know who will be getting cut.

On a related note, word is that the releases are being made to clear the way for new signings. We noted before that it was implied to Damien Sandow that his release was a timing thing as the company felt it was the time to freshen up the roster, not because of anything he did. Vince McMahon mentioned during this week's First Quarter earnings call that over the next month or so the company will have more talents on the roster than ever before.

 

If I had to guess the women's star, my money is on Paige.

Paige isn't going anywhere, she's probably the biggest "star" of the womens' division despite the fact that she hasn't really had much to do on TV

 

Yeah, her Total Divas appeal is pretty huge.

Not to mention, this is her house.

 

I forgot how good Punk/Lesnar was from SummerSlam 2013, and Extreme Rules 2012 was very good as well.

 

It doesn't say top women's star; it says a women's star and someone who could be considered a top superstar. I can see Summer Rae or Alicia Fox being released.

If we're to believe Lilian, she says she's been dealing with a family emergency. That's assuming the rumor of her being gone stems from her not being on TV the last two weeks.

 

I blame Lilian for how all their female announcers say "championship" weirdly. However she has been around so long that it stinks to see her go (again).
