Also Xbox is being real weird lately with achievements. Some haven’t been popping up until like 10-20 mins later, should have got one from Dying Light for killing first infected... nope nothing. Weird

I really, really want to play Horizon, but I'm just not sure I'll like it, I can never get into games like that. Bought Skyrim, couldn't get into it. Bought The Witcher 3, couldn't get into it. Bought BoTW, couldn't get into it.

Will I hate Horizon as well, or is it different enough to be worth a try? I can get into open world games (GTA, RDR, that sort of thing). But it's more the open world RPGs that phase me.

Horizon is not really like those, it's more like a Ubisoft game if anything

I feel like if you play it and stick to the main quest youll love it. I was into Skyrim and Witcher, but at a certain point I had to stop with the side quests and just finish the main quests cuz I was getting burned out.

    Die rad.

last 2 games I've gotten were busts. Prey and Bioshock. Returned both of those. Thinking about picking up Battlefield 1 and Resident Evil 7

Oh really? I've seen people comparing it to Zelda online. I love games like Far Cry and Assassin's Creed (before I got burnt out on the series). Genuinely might get it when I get home now.

    Thanks for the replies guys!

I just learned the other day that a bunch of 360 games are backwards compatible on the Xbox One. Ordered a bunch of used games for super cheap. Bought Black Ops 2 and Left For Dead 2. Also bought the following LEGO games: Star Wars: The Complete Saga, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Batman. Does Xbox live still work for the 360 games on the One?

I almost never buy used games. Most of these listings on eBay had pictures of the disc and looked fine. The previous owner’s stats and saved games won’t still be attached to the game, will they?

Xbox Live works fine with backwards compatible games in my experience, I played some Left 4 Dead 2 the other month and it was a blast! And regarding the second question, no it won't haha, at least I don't think so. Their data is saved on their console's storage, not yours, the disc has nothing to do with it... I think!

If you didn’t like Prey you won’t like RE7. Both are intentionally slow-paced. Though the exploration is a lot better in RE7.

Yeah, but RE7 is a whole lot more spoopy. And it doesn't have the bad skill tree aspect either.

I know its so highly praised. I guess it was an epic game when it first came out, it now just seems to kidish. Im not sure how to explain it. I like the story and scenery, but not the game play and characters.

Okay cool, that’s what I thought. Glad to hear live still works great. Thanks.

No problem! I think that's why we have pre-owned games we can buy in shops, someone buys it then returns it and someone else gets to play it etc. Unless they have to do some sort of memory cleaning to the disc each time but that sounds like a lot of time and work to do for each pre-owned game haha

RE7 and Prey feel like totally different to me.

RE7 had a feeling of tension that I LOVED in the beginning. It fell off a bit toward the end because it got senselessly over the top.
Prey is mindlessly wandering through a HUGE facility with frustrating backtracking. Abilities never really felt useful when you finally got them. There isn't much tension, only annoyance.

The one commonality is that I never felt like I had enough healing equipment. lol

One of my favorite games on the PS4. The game had a significant emotional impact on me and one of the few moments I've had in gaming where I stopped in actual complete wonder.

    Really, that's awesome!

I don't think I understood it in that way but I used a guide so that could be part of it. I'm also not very good about understanding stuff like that in general.

    Who's story?

The transition from 1st to 2nd, leaving the church at night. Like I legit stopped and just sat there like ".....oh my God..."

As a whole, just exploring that was very impactful for me. Reminded me of home, where I grew up, in a way no game has ever captured. Not even the place, but the feeling of home. No medium has ever given me that feeling quite like this game. Will always be special for me.
