Ya the video is very I Robot 2004 but lacking in Will Smith

I'm really happy that he seems to be going so weird/experimental when he certainly doesn't have to at this point in his career. That little interlude at the end of the track really seems to signify some sort of unified concept for the album.

I dig the video actually, yeah it's corny but I can see the message it's trying to convey and I dig what he's going for. I think it fits the aesthetic of the song well.

Tracklist seems to imply no Chris Brown so thank god

There's also a song called "Sauce" and I've never been more excited

    lmao "flannel"

lmao at the 1-2-3 of "breeze off the pond"/"livin' off the land"/"the hard stuff," which i assume is his song suite about choppin' wood

I'll write you into all of my songs Supporter

So are we going to get an all encompassing, semi-autobiographical album that traces JT's progression from FS/LS to now? Like he's going to start with the futuristic sounds, and then keep stripping them away until we arrive at the Nashville living father?

The fact that there’s a song actually titled flannel is pretty funny to me

I'm just curious if country continues to be the lowest common denominator musically

Hardcore metal, hip-hop, alternative rock, radio pop... doesn't matter, you'll end up playing country music one day

I just wish pop stars could own their privilege instead of being so blatantly inauthentic

I'd argue a country album would be more "authentic" for a Memphis-born singer than anything he's done prior to this point, which is often seen as appropriating black culture.

I'm REALLY really curious for the rest of this album now.

I absolutely love this. Not at all what I expected, but I can't wait to hear what comes next.

It actually kind of reminds me of King Kunta, which is a weird thing to say but it's what I hear. And I wouldn't say it actually sounds like it, but it also makes me think of TSwift, I Did Something Bad.

I am really curious now if this is just the sound of the intro and then all the stuff about trees at the end leads into an actual country influenced album, or if the whole announcement video was just meant to troll us basically.
