I saw you mention Alice in Chains i'm going to check out Dirt tomorrow. I've never really listened to that band. What's your favorite Alice in Chains release?

Honestly.... thats my FAVORITE BAND EVER, Nirvana and Kurt helped me understand self, Soundgarden and Cornell helped me feel as a child (introduced me to grunge) that's [grunge] my ULTIMATE WHEELHOUSE, even before Post Hardcore and dark/sad boy rap lol.

Any Layne material is necessary but I would say Jar Of Flies & Dirt are necessary listening, followed by Unplugged (esp after knowing the depth of Layne's issues) and S/T (since God AM is arguably my fav song by them, still wanna get the chorus tatted on me).

All Layne material is good listening.

 

even Jerry was impressed with Layne here, this can make me cry to this day.... Layne always was a mirror for me in my own highs and lows (Kurt too, but esp Layne)... this song (esp this version) and Rotten Apple (from Jars Of Flies) are the 2 that hit me most

Layne and Kurt highkey are only reason I'm still here now. Leave it at that, 2015 was pressing me (and i learned my soul thru them and Peep), their music is the only reason I'm shitposting here now, lol. Layne, Kurt, Lil Peep, etc... special to me forever.
