shit. I remember now. I wanted to go to this but it was just too expensive and I had a baby at the time. would have had to go by myself or get a babysitter for too much time. I think if alt-j or death cab had been on day 1 with Blood Brothers, Glassjaw, DFA I could have done 1 day.

 

It's weird that they even call it "pumping gas," like, you put the nozzle in and pull the trigger until it clicks, then you wait while the numbers go up.

What is that Oregon gas ban supposed to prevent?

 

I had to do it on the drive from el paso to austin it was 24 degrees (according to car) freezing drizzle and I forgot my jacket in el paso. also had to walk the dog so he could poop. not a fun 20 minutes.

as much as I loathe it, I'd still rather pump my own gas than have someone else do it tho. there's one place in my town where they have attendants I guess you could say who do it for you, and we avoid that place like the fucking plague.

 

speaking of my drive back, we were past Van Horn (2 hours east of el paso) and the temp outside said about 60 degrees, about 2 miles ahead I saw some gray clouds that looked more like smoke, I was really confused about what it was, it was weird. turned out to be a cold front and frozen drizzle/mist that reduced visability to about 20 feet and dropped the temperature from 60 to 26 in about a 5 minute span. the mist lasted for about an hour with terrible visibility before we got past it, but the freezing temp lasted all the way home. when we got home there was ice on our mirrors and grill of the car. very strange trip.

Yes! I got it for $59.98. They had a few in stock. I'll keep an eye out to see if it drops in price any further.

I read some reviews on Amazon and it looks like it typically takes somewhere between 1.5 and 2 hours to assemble so that's not too bad. I was surprised how heavy the box was - hopefully that means it'll be pretty sturdy.

 

I think a Fugazi reunion would be interesting
