  1. Your gut feeling wins... I also don't like Linkin Park, which this immediately reminds me of.

I’d argue the comparison buuutttttttt I figured not your style.

Me personally, love them, and am excited to see them in March since their live shows are more like stage plays than concerts, with their two albums being concept albums and the live shows complimenting them

  3. That sounds pretty cool and I can see how fans of the band would especially love that.

  9. I don't love hoobastank but I worked on a TV show they were on and they were not only cool dudes but I edited their performance for so long that I actually wound up liking this song. They're not *THAT* bad!

What's funny is that, to me, pop punk has always seemed like the other side of the coin as those nu metal types of bands. A lot of the artists sound the same, they're pretty "safe", formulaic styles that came from their more polarizing origins (pop punk/punk and nu metal/metal), and they are both looked at as kind of embarrassing genres for adults to still listen to. haha. Although I feel like the main difference is that middle aged people are more likely to like Disturbed, Staind, etc. than blink or Yellowcard.

And what's even funnier is that usually pop punk fans would make fun of the nu metal fans and vice versa.

You know it's funny, I came across that video a week or so ago and tried to do some research and I couldn't find anything on it to confirm. Setlist.fm doesn't even have them playing on that date or playing in Baltimore or Maryland in 1998. The closest show to that date is on 6/18/1998 where they play in Washington, DC so it's possible that concert was incorrectly dated in the video. The only other thing I could find is on 7/14/1998 MTV News broke the story that Scott left the band and Travis replaced him. It's such a big mystery of the exact date Travis officially took over, I really wish it was confirmed by the band or Travis himself. Apparently 2/25/1998 is the first time Travis drums for the band but the source is a reddit user so who knows.

Today on Unsolved Mysteries, Travis Barker; where did he come from and when did he start being in blink? The man, the mystery.

Haha seriously. Seems like Scott's last time drumming with them was late May.

Is it bad that I have a framed collage of the day I met blink on my work desk?

I’m very cool, I regularly sing Nickleback at karaoke as my party trick. An unfairly targeted band.

Since the Brand New thread turned into a Papa Roach thread, I think this one should become a Seether thread

Random story, but when I was 11 (early ‘03) I went to an All-American Rejects/Seether show. And some guy in the restroom started talking to me about the show and which band I was more excited to see (I was only there for AAR). then he asked me what I thought about Seether and I told him they sucked. Well, he started laughing and told me he was their manager, and I felt really embarrassed. He ended up being really nice and took me and a friend to meet AAR backstage, cool time.
