Gas Station food is like an abusive boyfriend to me. I should really stay away, but I just can't and he always hurts me.

In New Jersey we don’t pump our own gas.
I’m not originally from New Jersey but this is the first thing I thought of when I think of a person from New Jersey when they go across state lines:

I feel like you could do a few minutes of standup on gas station food.

The first time my wife was pregnant there were several instances where I came home from work and made dinner, she took one bite, said "nope" and then ate a bowl of cereal instead.

I can't help but think that this policy had a lot to do with causing Chris Christie to be Chris Christie.

The bayonets clamor on all night, hemming scars into the hillside
    Devastator sleeps under satin sheets
"Death campaigns are a fucking gold mine."
And all the swine at the cabaret lick their lips as they clap along
Devastator, in a negligee, does a strip tease while he sings this song:
    "Everybody needs a little Devastation!"

This is the second time today I've seen someone bring up Zoolander as a comparison to people pumping/not pumping their own gas, what is going on

Neon black dirt in the garden
All the roses blossom into skulls this season
Neon black branches hanging from the trees
Every limb is empty, robbed of pleasant memories

"People weren't getting what they desired from music and being in a band. I couldn't imagine trying to work on another record with that band. We drifted apart, as people do, as people grow into different individuals and have different ideas of where they want to be in their lives and what they want to be doing with music. As different as we were, we all shared a similar vision as far as where we wanted to be; as the years progressed, it became more and more polarized. If something is no longer bringing you joy, it's time to make a change."

Also, what's up @The Mysterious? I hope you appreciate the legacy you left behind where at least half of this thread likes most of the posts in it as they're catching up.

    I'm too lazy for that.

One of their vocalists started the band Jaguar Love, but they haven't released any new material since 2010.

The Blood Brothers did play some shows in 2014, so maybe there's hope for some future shows/music?

    Same here!

Looks like they played several shows in 2014. At least 7 (if setlist.fm is to be believed)

Do you think naming The Money Pit song "Devastator" was a nod to this song?

it's possible. the gatsbys drummer was the brother of the blood brothers drummer.

Their lyrical styles are obviously completely different, but the subject matter of the songs isn't too dissimilar.

yeah. TBB song is more about military war machines and TMP is more about commercialism/money/privilege I think.

That’s going to be my Friday. Amply hyped. Jk. It’s going to suck. But I’ll have a dual humbuckered Tele so that’s something to look forward to.

Also I miss both the blood brothers and gatsbys American dream
