It's very good. It really shines on Xbox One/PS4 in a way it didn't on 360. It's too bad they weren't allowed to make a sequel.

 

Hopefully this year will be better for me as 2017 was really lacking in games I wanted to play, hopefully with films now being less of a priority and money being in greater supply I will have more to play.

 

this is actually a very good list, except for that one thing that is really obviously missing for me hahah

2017 was better than the average year for games imo

 

Not for me, but I can see it. I do think Nintendo had an amazing year.

Ironically I think a lot of things people liked about games in 2017 are partly on their way out, while things they did not like are on the rise.

 

I feel like i'm letting my love for Zelda overshadow the fact that, to me, large swaths of 2017 were painstakingly mediocre.

Same here. Until I received some of my Christmas gifts, I would go weeks without even playing it. It’s not like I didn’t have games for it either. I bought my Switch back in May for BOTW, but only played five hours and wasn’t the biggest fan of it.

Personally I would never give my PS4 up. Best gaming investment since I bought it years ago.

 

Do you guys like good non-AAA games because there are like 400 a week on Switch currently

 

I was drowning in stuff I wanted to play in 2017. Still haven't got around to playing a lot of stuff I wanted to. Literally don't think there's been a better year for games for me. 2015 was kind of close just because Bloodborne but I didn't really care for much else that year.

2017 was a great year for me in terms of all media that wasn't music.

 

Switch is my favorite console by far (but not surprising coming from the guy who made the Chorus Ninty thread)

Also is Gravity Rush 2 good? The art and gameplay looks interesting.

 

The world is beautiful and the movement feels great but the combat is bad and the mission design ist often terrible. It's a flawed game but I really enjoyed it regardless. It's very fresh. I think you'd like it, for what it's worth.

.... I might or might not be currently listening to the audiobook version of the Star Wars Battlefront 2 prequel novel because in my mind I can't start the allegedly bad campaign otherwise....

 

Definitely sounds like something I’d like. How’s the story and the characters?
