This whole thread is awesome.

 

Saw it for the 4th and final time in theatres, I think it’s my favorite now. It’s got a mystical charm that I can’t quite put a finger on.

I don’t think we will get a spin off prequel for her haha

 

I know she died but so did Han Solo and everyone in Rogue One, so there's still a chance!

 

I just want the Knights of Ren to show up or atleast be explained more in a future film. I'm surprised Rian didn't even name drop them.

 

This is really the only thing that I REALLY want IX to delve into, or at least explain. Even if they show up as just protection for Kylo the way the Praetorian guards were Snoke's protection in VIII.

 

Have the Knights of Ren actually been referenced within either of the films?

 

Yeah, Snoke mentions them in TFA and they are pictured with Kylo in Rey's vision when she touches Luke's/Anakin's lightsaber for the first time.

 

......... ah yes, I can see it now.

"Weaponized YouTube-caliber snark" ha. That is a better way of saying what I was trying to describe earlier. This guy is spot on. The only thing I slightly disagree about is that this movie changes your opinion of the Jedi and makes you think they aren't that great...only because the prequels already did that for me (just not intentionally) lol.

I'm only halfway joking, but I mean...

• "Jedi are keepers of the peace. We are not soldiers." Proceeds to get into a massive lightsaber war with droid soldiers and leads clone troopers into battle for two movies
• "Only a Sith deals in absolutes" Doesn't realize he was just speaking in absolutes
• Palpatine had a handful of apprentices, including his final two, who were former Jedi
• They were so arrogant, they couldn't even consider Palpatine as a threat until it was too late and picked the worst plan to confront him in the privacy of his own office

I'm not even surprised that eventually Luke came to realize they were mostly incompetent and arrogant because we've already seen that. It actually makes me like him more that he chose to do things his own way because clearly the Jedi of the prequels didn't know what they were doing.

 

I knew what was intended to be the Knights of Ren were in the Force vision, but I also figured those could end up being just random acolytes if they decided to ditch the Knights of Ren idea. I just remember reading about the Knights of Ren in Kylo's character bio before TFA came out but didn't remember if they were actually mentioned within the film. Thanks!

 

Why is that? I didn’t notice anything particularly interesting or memorable about the character

 

She got blown up by Kylo Ren! She's a hero of the rebellion!

 

I think I’d rather have Porkins: A Star Wars Story.

 

I'm sure it's been posted in here but I don't feel like searching, what's some good reading material that generally dissects TLJ? Just looking for some good reading generally covering all the plot lines.
