    Meet me in Montauk. Prestigious

    Probly something like

    Born to Run
    Wild/Innocent
    The River
    Nebraska
    USA

which is pretty bland I know. Y'all would be mad at how many post-USA records I've dismissed after one or two listens.

Probably has to do with the season. Wild is so firmly a beginning of summer record for me. I hardly listen to it in the fall or winter.

    Motel. Money. Murder. Madness.

I'm a rabid Bruce superfan, and seeing little to no mention of Tom Joad is pretty offensive.

    Darkness
    BTR
    Tom Joad
    Wrecking Ball
    Nebraska

    But it changes constantly.

    .

Weird that Tunnel apparently has this sour rep. I've always considered it part of the classic run, and wasn't aware that that was unpopular.

Tunnel has grown very much on me within the last year.

I think it's mostly been considered a "first seven" type of deal as far as the classic Bruce stretch goes, but that has started to shift to include Tunnel of Love as of late (and deservedly so).

    how was it???

  14. It was everything I hoped it would be and so much more. I was thinking it would be more of a *plays song then tells story and then plays song* type of thing, but he would incorporate the stories into the songs and bring so much life to the songs because of it. The actual production of it was great too, the lighting changed for every song to set different scenes just like a real broadway show.

Hearing his stories about his parents and then playing the songs about them made me want to call my mom and dad and tell them how much I love and appreciate them (I did this drunk the next night at the Stone Pony haha).

I feel really fortunate to have gotten to witness such a legend make himself so vulnerable on a stage like that and I'll remember it forever!

Damn that makes me want to scalp a ticket so badly. I'll be in NY for work the next two weeks and I'm trying to convince myself it's not worth it to splurge.

Man, am I alone in my unashamed love of the Rising? That album is so high on my list.

I'd probably put it around 9 or 10. It's got some really good songs but it's overlong, at times very cheesy, and the lyrics fall into his latter day trap of being about things in the abstract rather than in the specific. Don't get me wrong, it's still a pretty great album, I just don't like it more than the first half of his career.

GUYS. I got tickets. Friday March 23.

I got a code today and still couldn’t get tickets. Most dates that I chose just never loaded, and the ones that did said my code wasn’t valid for my account. I went from excitement to disappointment very quickly.

  21. If you told me Magic was his best record in the last thirty years I wouldn't argue with you at all

You’d pick that over The Rising?

I would. Magic is so good, but the Rising is also excellent.
