The PPV is way better than it had any right to be. Not great, but not awful. And Smackdown was fine

Also, love that the #4 match of the year by their standards was on the Summerslam Kickoff

I'm just so fucking happy that Dream vs. Black was on that list. I was upset it might not make it at all.

 

Crazy that asuka vs ember made it but not asuka vs nikki

 

dream/black is my wwe moty for sure, that was a shining example that the wwe formula can be amazing

 

i do think that the top 5 (in some order) is summerslam 4 way, bate/dunne, aj/cena @ rumble, finn/aj and either the wargames match or dream/black

also the ember moon match was definitely better imo

 

The only good match on the PPV was the US title match. And that SDL ending was just plain lazy.

Maybe its the fact that I dont care much for Ember or the fact that I really love Nikki, but all of the Asuka/Ember matches really blend into one for me

 

LMS matches are always just so plodding by nature and it kinda saps all the drama out of the finish. the spots were nice, sure.

the crowd for the ember match was also a MILLION times better, which does have an impact

Wasn't there a couple good matches and/or Asuka/Nikki was at the end of a long night of taping which sapped the crowd's energy?

just read that list of best matches of the year, damn i actually completely agree with their top 5.

the list also reaffirms my opinion of 2017 being absolute shit for the womens division. I struggled to really consider any womens match top notch and yea you'd have to pick Asuka/Ember or one of the MYC matches.

 

Not Nikki Cross vs Asuka's last women's standing match?

I feel like that, Belair vs Sane and Piper vs Storm were my favorite women's matches.
