But how do you separate that out? A team like Portland that drastically overachieved and had the coach of the year. It's the same thing.

I thought people were talking about Myers Leonard for a second because there had been Blazers and I was going to freak out bc he's the worst and I couldn't understand the praise he was getting.

I agree with who we were actually talking about. lol

  3. Let's just end the eastern conference playoffs right now. Cleveland is going to sweep either team and I can't watch those teams play anymore.

@Jason Tate latest Lowe Post episode talks about Portland a little bit and it reminded me of your write up about visiting Portland haha. Powell Books is one of the mentions.

I'm not gonna lie there's been times in these series where I miss him for an occasional deep shot just because plum and Davis cant shoot at all. That's about it though, doubt he gets a big deal and leaves anyway. 100yrs of development! Lol

  12. Spurs looking ... off. Kawhi needs to have a massive game and live up to his second in MVP voting status.

    His hands are so big

Pretty sure there's a joke in there, but his hand size was a knock on his draft stock. Scouts worried that his hand size would impact his ability to turn into a consistent jump shooter like most big men. Pretty laughable looking back.

  16. This line-up is so weird and working.

That's what the joke actually is, I remember I wasn't sure what he would turn into at all but my profile of him was like "this dude has some big hands" lol that's when I was getting back into basketball after giving up on the Jerryd bayless, Channing Frye blazers teams. It was the first time I paid attention to a draft at all.

    Nolan smith >

San Antonio is a weird team. Boris Diaw is the classic
Nolan Smith... I never understood the scouts' fascination with his game as it translated to the NBA. Would have been interesting if you guys took the late mover up the board in Jimmy Butler. Who knows if he would have developed to the level he his now w/o Thibs but what a nice piece that would have been with your squad.

A lot of people were pissed because they thought faried was definitely gonna be the guy, including me lol apparently the coach and gm were feuding at the time and McMillan forced them to pick Nolan smith instead of bpa. It was really dumb, I dont think he was worthy of being a first round pick at all. I was rooting for him to succeed on another team but looks like hell be playing in other countries for awhile.

In hindsight, trading miller/camby plus future picks for butler would've been great. Probably would've avoided the Crawford disaster because of that too lol

that was a clean block. maybe kawhi could do a better job of "stepping up" if he got 1/10th of the calls that someone like KD, James or Wade does

Whoops, I remember it happening but I didn't know it was that bad that he'd never play again. That's a bummer.
