New Radiohead is divine

 

I would disagree with how much bigger you think the bands are comparatively. Look at the size of the shows they all play. Brand New is much bigger than Say Anything, and Radiohead is bigger, but not by the same magnitude.

An artist can release an album for many reasons. One being they don't give a fuck about press. So dominating the conversation would be irrelevant. You're attaching motives as universal.

 

Anyone think we will see Nobody Moves (Prime) on the new album? I have a feeling they rerecorded that one for some purpose beyond just throwing it on a cassette.

 

I would not complain about it or Missing You re-recorded with that extra part.

Meh. The only song we have heard that I could care to have on a new record is Sealed To Me. I don't care to see the demos ever be on a proper album because I already have those songs and I'd rather hear new ones.

Yeah I kind of had the thought that the whole prime vs. original situation was their weird way of releasing a "single"from the album. I don't really think it would happen or that's what they were trying to do, but it would be cool.

 

The only demo I'd want on the new album would be a full band version of Good Man.

 

I'd definitely prefer a set of completely unheard songs (with Sealed to Me), it just felt odd to rerecord one of the demos, but it could have very well been rerecorded during a different studio session several years ago. Wish we had the story on this.

 

I feel like Good Man is perfect just the way it is. I can't think of anything I would want added to it, but I'm not a song writer or anything so what do I know

 

Good Man is probably in my top 5 songs from them, but that whole rumored full band version just interests me too much. I just want it released any way possible.

 

I mean I'd probably love it, but I can't picture how it would sound at all.

 

I actually found this to be a really interesting take on "Untitled 01" as a full band. That ending breakdown section is really cool.

I'm going to Edmonton! I thought about driving 3 hours to Calgary too, but I can't take more work off.

 

they may not care about press (in fact they definitely don't), but word of mouth is definitely important and that's where dominating the conversation comes into play. the only way they were able to sell out the first (and second?) pressings of the 2006 demo cassettes without posting about them on social media was word of mouth. fans spreading the word on here (ap), twitter, presumably reddit, etc. they 100% domminated the conversations and fans who missed out on those conversations missed out on those pressings. i wouldn't call that irrelevant.

just saying i dont see any way that we get an album before this summer tour starts.
