My friend posted on Facebook that he’ll never watch another Star Wars movie again.
I replied “But the guy who directed you’re favorite movie is doing the next one”
His response “no way he can fix what TLJ f*cked up”
    Lol

Honest Trailers at least does it with kind of a grain of salt. RLM is enormously petty with “Star Wars,” but their regular reviews are pretty fair.

Cinema Sins just sucks and speak to a generation of younger viewers that think if you point out things that don’t make sense without context, it’s a flaw that should send the movie to the gallows.

Screen Junkies guy that produced them. They thankfully canned him.

  6. Those RLM prequel videos have some pretty disgusting sexism in them that for whatever reason we all just kinda ignored back in the day.

Cinema Sins was fun at first when it was just posting fun little nitpicks like "in this shot he's wearing a jacket and suddenly in the next second he's wearing a t-shirt". Little things that were like "haha how did I not notice that". Now it just goes out of it's way to find flaws in movies.

Not just a creep, he was a full-on serial predator and assaulter. The victims attempted to report him to Defy Media, the parent company, and they sat on it without telling anyone for months. But the rest of the Screen Junkies employees were immediate in their condemnation of him and support for the victims. They all refused to go back to work until Defy Media met specific demands they made. They only just started putting out new content a few weeks ago.

    Yea, it was really bad.

Defy fucked up. But, from what has been revealed publicly, the rest of the producers weren’t aware and immediately condemned him and called for immediate action once it all went public.

There was one person involved who said they told a couple of the producers, but no names were ever called out. The person who made it sound like some knew never went beyond generic statements about the possibility.

I chose to keep watching them since, as far as I know, the people remaining all condemned if right away and only went back to work with conditions that new things were set up to prevent something like it ever happening again.

The girl who’s tweet you shared has a boyfriend who still works for them. Not that her say means everything, but she is at peace with those still there, so I don’t see the point in blaming them if she doesn’t of all people.

  16. Shit, guys, this was such a disappointment. I came into this thread to see how in the world anyone in their right mind would hate this movie and it's all positive from you.

There are some people who don’t like certain things for legit reasons, and a couple people spouting nonsense.... but mostly, yes, it’s been a positive response. It’s been nice.

There are a handful of us in here that didn't really enjoy it... but I think we all still admire what the movie tries to go for. It's definitely something that will work for some and fail for others, hence the divisive tag.

I really like that almost everything from the trailers wound up in the movie.

I rewatched the two main trailers and the only thing missing was the scene that had Rey running with the saber in the dark.

This was even better the second time.

While in my first viewing the theater was completely quiet during the 10 seconds of silence, this time almost the entire theater audibly gasped and whispers of "oh my god" "wooow" "holy shit" from the entire theater. That reaction brought a smile to my face. Just pure movie magic with everyone in absolute awe. The build up of tension from the throne room with Snoke to that release is just incredible.
