A “plot hole” is when Rey is never shown getting off of Snoke’s cruiser and suddenly appears in the gunner seat of the Falcon. That’s, literally, a hole in the plot.

Most people just use plot hole as a catch-all for something they just don’t understand.

 

I’m not even bashing the haters. I just think it’s contagious. I watched this and had like 10 moments where I thought: “I wonder what fans think of this part”. I knew that what I was watching was risky. I have mixed feelings about certain things but am gladly welcoming this movie into cannon.

 

Quick question...in one scene Rey looks down from the island into the sea does she Lukes old X-Wing down there submerged under the water? Me and my gf couldn't work it out as it was only for a few seconds.

I need like a write-up of what is pissing "fans" off. I am a casual Star Wars fan. I own them all on Blu-ray and have a moderate knowledge of the series but as far as franchises that have me going crazy in excitement, this isn't necessarily one of them. And I say all that because I really dug this. Like one of the more enjoyable entries in the franchise and one I want to watch again. A ton to digest from this two and a half hours.

 

Oh boy even as down as I am on this I would not compare it to BvS oh god....

I liked the nipple giraffe milk scene a lot. Everything on the island was the best part of the movie.

One film turns someone off to a director's work forever? Lord.

 

I've never been big on the Star Wars series, so when a lot of fans cry about the subversions the complaint doesn't really gel with me personally. I could see where someone could get mad about Snoke, but he was such a nothing character from the get go.

I think more and more that Star Wars just isn't from me, the only movies I thought were anything more than OK were ANH and ESB. I think a lot of the fandom is getting attached to the series as a kid which I kinda missed out on... wasn't really a fan of the PT outside of darth maul being cool af to a 8 year old me.

 

This movie was awesome. I am gettin so much enjoyment from these hottakes.

 

I can understand why people are upset even though I don’t mind it that much. The movie was a solid 8.5/10

Hux tells Kylo that she took Snoke’s shuttle.
Before she goes to the Destroyer she tells Chewie to jump away and wait for her signal.

Just because we don’t see it, doesn’t mean it’s not explained in the movie.

 

The giraffe nipple milk scene is such a weird thing to get hung up on.
