I also enjoyed the Poe/Hux silliness at the beginning. In my very first viewing of TFA, I was so afraid that it was going to suck. The moment I exhaled and relaxed was when Poe got caught and brought before Ren and was like "So who talks first?" He's such a smart ass lol

I loved it. Was definitely a little skeptical to start and the Leia space thing was ridiculous but I loved it from then on. I think I would like it a lot more upon another rewatch as well

A few too many one-liners that fell flat for me (Guardian 2 did the same thing).

Rey and Kylo fighting together was awesome

Very disappointed in Snoke going out so soon but excited to see Kylo take over as the Supreme Leader and what ends up happening in episode 9

BDT was fucking horrible. Whatever he was doing did not work for me at all

 

You see it for a split second at the very end when everyone is on board the Falcon. Finn opens a drawer to find something to cover Rose with and the books are in there.

 

cant believe Tony Stark showed up at the end to tell Finn about the "Avengers Initiative" I wonder what that means

 

When Kylo spins in his fighter I said to myself, “let’s try spinning, that’s a cool trick!”

I will say that the hot takes from anyone saying the movie sucked or was awful or as bad as the prequels I totally disagree with.

 

When Hamill said he didn't agree with a decision about Luke that Rian made - he had to be referring to the flashback with Ben right?

I thought that was fantastic

 

I thought it was just more about giving FO access into the Resitances system. Which them revealed the transports to them. I didn’t see it as plan specific betrayal.

I understand the sentiment that Snoke got the Maul treatment, but I kinda liked the mystery to him. He looked good in gold and really liked the color red. We didn't know anything about Palpatine in the OT either. Didn't even show up until Empire and only then as a hologram. Perhaps he will be explained more in the future, but I'm pretty ok with it right now. Will most likely have to read a book or two to find out more.

The /r/movies thread I was reading last night was mostly positive

 

The chemistry between Daisy and Adam was so great. Makes me more excited for whatever standoff that they may have in the next film.

I was focused on Rey's facial expressions and how hardcore they were staring at each other -- especially coming off of how close their bond had become.

 

Agree so much. I loved the different perspectives of that night and how it all played out.

What I wish was there was more depth to Luke teaching Ben and their history together. We got a little, jsut wanted more.

 

They are apparently visible when Finn covers Rose on the Falcon.

 

I loved Rey in the cave. I also like the first time Luke is teaching her and he realizes 1) she has so much power, 2) she's unafraid to just dive toward the dark side to get information.

 

Yep, I remember seeing them.

 

He said there is nothing Rey doesn’t already have.

Because she literally has them. Yoda was playing Luke one last time.
