  1. Wish I loved Hounds of Love and A Dark Song as much as others, but they didn't do much for me. Sill need to see Happy Death Day and Creep 2.

Get Out is 100% deserving of the No. 1 spot. Also extremely happy to see It Comes At Night not listed at all.

Also, I must check out Creep 2 still, especially after reading that.

yo, Scream Factory is also getting The Strangers and Drag Me to Hell, thats SICK

  5. Can't remember if I asked this or not (I know I have re: Ouija), but do I need to see Annabelle before Annabelle Creation? I have seen both Conjuring movies and, generally speaking, I think I "get it."

  6. Nah. I enjoyed Creation without having seen the first Annabelle. There's a connection to the first Annabelle, but it's tagged onto the movie and has nothing to do Creation's plot.

I recommend A Dark Song. Ended up watching it quite a few times in a row to catch what my terrible attention span caused me to miss lol

It was a lot of fun for only being 60 minutes. And a bit freaky.

Did any of you guys watch 1922? If I was going to pick a King adaptation, that's the one.

I found both Gerald's Game and 1922 to be mostly good, buuut both movies had sequences that felt weird to me
in GG the whole ending with her narration felt very cheesy to me, and the explanation of who the tall man was probably worked fine in the book but didn't translate to film very well. I felt similarly about the bit in 1922 where the dead wife tells the main guy what happens to their son.

I loved the original Cabin Fever and saw that the remake is on Hulu. Is it even remotely worth watching?

1922 was definitely better than Gerald's Game, but still didn't do much for me.

General consensus, I think, is that the Gerald’s Game ending didn’t work well in the book either

Gerald's Game was a little too neat a story structure imo, and yeah the ending was not necessary at all

interesting. maybe the tall guy just should have been a separate story entirely.
not sure, I haven’t read it either

you can voice text with siri, right?

so she could have just said "siri text ____ help i'm stuck at this cabin" repeatedly until the blip of data went through?

Super Dark Times is pretty good. The direction is brought up in every review for good reason. Almost hard to believe it is a debut film because it has some really haunting and striking shots.
