Same. Super glad they are back as well as they are my 2nd favorite of all time, but man we need some more ripping songs by them. It's a waste not to.

    Hmm, hard. I'd go:
    1. The Children Sing
    2. We Don't Care Anymore
    3. Choose Your Fate
    4. How Can We Go On
    5. And The Hero Will Drown

    1. Is This My Fate (this song litterally has the best ending to any song I've ever heard in life)
    2. Welcome to Our New War (the band needs more songs like this in their discography)
    3. Falling Down
    4. Eye for an Eye
    5. Dancing for Rain ☔

I feel like all the openers are so equally good, I'm ok with everyones rankings. Its the closers that have huge quailty jumps from Fate and War to the others.

So this popped up in my facebook memories today. You remember 5 years ago when they held a Page Avenue music video contest in facebook? I was 1 of 2 finalists. They never chose a winner to my knowlege haha.

  12. So, I finally got around to Wolves, and yes this album is tasty. How Can We Go On is a fucking banger.

    Openers ranked:

    1. Choose Your Fate (Starts off with so much power and energy. It's just a perfect hardcore song. The vocals on this one, especially that scream at the end, just wow.)

    2. The Children Sing (So hauntingly creepy and beautiful with that children choir fading in before the main riff. I'm a sucker for songs about global warming, environment and legacy. "Our daughters and sons will live to pay for every mistake that we have made" are some of my favorite lyrics ever.)

    3. We Don't Care Anymore (A heavy yet catchy song that make me feel somewhat angry, about something, but I'm not sure what. I think it's the verses that are the best parts of this song. That heavy metal guitar riff is so cool.)

    4. How Can We Go On (Awesome song, epic guitar solo. I just wish they included the 50 seconds of sound effects in Wolves (track 1) in the beginning of this one, instead of splitting them into two separate tracks. I mean, who's going to listen to the intro without listening to HCWGO right after? And when listening to just HCWGO you miss the mysterious build-up from the track before. That's not why I've ranked this #4 though, haha.)

    5. And the Hero Will Drown (Sorry about this. It's just not as strong an opener as the rest of them.)

    Closers ranked:

    1. Welcome to Our New War (My all time favorite song from my favorite album. This is just a mix of everything I love about SOTY, and music in general.)

    2. "Is This My Fate?" He Asked Them (Just a fucking sick heavy metal jam. This song has all the best riffs ever in it.)

    3. Falling Down (Ends the album as it should: on a high level of energy. Also, I'm a huge Feldy fan, so that's a big bonus for me.)

    4. Praying for Rain (This one is OK, I guess. I'm not that into electronic drums and too much of that slow paced stuff. I think I'd pick Give Up My Heart as the closer on this album.)

    5. Eye for an Eye (Probably my least favorite SOTY song ever.)

Took a small break from Wolves to listen to Black Swan and In The Wake today at work. I think this bracket, if we ever do it, is going to kill me having to pick between songs on those albums.

We're doing the bracket for sure, because if @WolvesAreCircling182 doesn't do it, I will.

I know we talk up the Black Swan B-sides so much (for good reason) but the 2 Constant B-sides are sooo good. The b-side bracket is going to be almost just as hard as a normal album one.

Eh, the Constant b-sides are my least favorite of their b-sides.

Really? My least favorites are the ITWOD (because their are none) and the Page Avenue. Unsung Friend and Tonight We Fall are so much better songs than the Unheard Voice and Polka.

I was disappointed when I heard Unsung Friend and Tonight We Fall. I think there's nothing special about them. Heart of Polka is a banger.

Polka is a banger (esp that ending), don't get me wrong. All 4 songs in question are great, I just think think the Constant songs are much better written. Granted, there is like an decade of song writing experience between the two lol.

I think once the bracket is going down and you re listen to them, you may change your mind :-)

The real question is does Bang Bang Version 2 count as a B-Side and will it be included? I do like that song a lot.....

Yeah it's definitely been a while since I've listened to those two tracks. Also I think Bang Bang v2 shouldn't be included since it's basically another version of the same song. I think we should treat it like an acoustic version and leave it out.

I agree completely, my post was pretty much a joke. If it were included though, I'd probably vote for it since I love it though lol.
