i get the reason, i just find the motivation behind it to be primarily vanity. Especially because the vast majority of gym pics/videos are not of their new PR on a lift, but just them doing an ordinary set.

 

I'm with you 100% on this even though flip flops are great and I will never shave my toes.

 

There are such things are beautiful feet. Rare. But they exist.

For the record, I am by no means a "feet" guy. Like, at all. With that said, I think some of these rules and stipulations are silly and totally depend on the culture. It might not be acceptable to wear flip flops to a restaurant in KC, and that's fine, but in SoCal it is seen as completely acceptable and even if I only wear them about 10% of the time, I take no issue with people who wear them a lot. Should feet be clean and nails trimmed? Yes. Should someone shave their feet hair? No way.

 

If you have trouble walking with them, don't wear them. It's that simple, friend.
