Not sure how much of a difference 3 years makes, but I'm sure he and Boras had an idea of what he would've commanded, interest and money, on the open market. Basically, I wonder what Felix would go for now.

 

Deal has opt-outs so that's good.

 

Daniel Murphy is the Nats best player so far. Just as crazy as the Stras extension.

 

Felix Hernandez is underpaid based on what he's accomplished with some of those Mariners teams. Imagine if he had a solid offense backing him the entire time, he'd be at 250 wins at least by now.

 

Hopefully this bodes well for a long-term deal with Harper... *fingers crossed*

 

After year three or four.

 

He hasn't accomplished any less in his career because his team didn't win a bunch of the games he pitched in.

Not sure what everyone was on about, it was a belt high strike. Unless the strikezone is not that anymore.

As someone who can easily say Jeter is his favorite player ever, I surprisingly would much rather watch Harper play than Trout.

 

I love how there's no reprecussion for umps doing a terrible job AND apparently the player (Harper only?) is suppose to just take it on the chin there. Though I don't see many people giving Votto, Ortiz, etc. crap when they get hot.

 

Another goofball on the Dodgers sliding into first base. Called out by a hair. Probably would have been safe IF HE RAN THROUGH THE DAMN BAG

 

Not to mention the awkwardness that can happen around first base and the danger of getting stepped on. I hope players privately get fined like 10 grand for sliding into first. It's so stupid and does NOT get you there faster. Ugh lol.

The videos I saw showed strikes for both pitches that Harper was pissed about. How was the ump doing a terrible job?
