Y'all I'm drowning. I am going to have to make Christmas gifts this year. So many people to buy for. I am stressed to the MAX.

I feel so grateful no one in my family exchanges gifts anymore. I would be fucked if we did. I know the struggle and stress of that.

 

My parents, sister's boyfriend, her dog (which my mom actually bought bc she wanted free shipping and hadn't spent enough), we draw names and play a game where you draw numbers and can steal presents from people for both sides of the family and my extended family is HUGE. Work secret Santa, Toy drive. I mean we don't spend much on gifts but that shit adds the fuck up.

 

I'm almost positive everyone would be ok if I didn't buy them presents but I just can't receive presents and not give it makes me feel like shit.

Your description of Christmas is how it was with my ex’s family. She has this huge family but luckily they just pool gifts and draw numbers and you pull a present blind. So we’d have to buy like two gifts. But if my family exchanged gifts that’d be another 5-6 gifts. Shit adds up. And I’m the ultimate Scrooge so I don’t like Christmas anyways.

 

I FUCKING LOVE CHRISTMAS. That's why it bums me out to not have money.
