Guys that say "bro". A lot.

I work with some douchey pushing-30 year old fratty guys and they say "bro" in every other sentence. They sound like numbskulls.

 

My boss complained to me yesterday when I came in about being a lil late and I was like "You know thats cus I'm responsible for getting my girl around right before I come here" and he goes "yeah but -bullshit-" and I flat out told him sorry, but she's first, 3-5 minutes here and there should be bearable considering how often you've asked me to cover for others.
Then he goes in about how my accident really fucked him Friday and I was like "Sorry about that, ill let you next time I wanna get in one before hand" - he took the hint it wasn't the fucking time, and that I know what he was doing. Wasn't about me being late it's about you having to do a shift you aint want to. Sucks to be you man, let someone else be Manager if you don't wanna do your job. Your assistant manager is the same way so get lost from me with that sorta bullshit.

This is the second time he's passive aggressively given me shit for something coming up, yet I'm always covering the days you suddenly need to go to a meeting in the mornings or your assistant doesnt wanna work her job? Changing my schedule week to week, barely giving me enough hours. I have a legit issue and you gunna suddenly get passive aggressive?

Fam a 6'7 dude being on some passive aggressive faux power trip shit just looks like a fucking clown.

 

any time things get a little better, they end up being so much worse

 

This one doctor I work for always has someone else dictate for him and she is legit awful. She constantly spells words that do not need to be spelled at all and she always spells them completely wrong so it takes me forever to try and figure out what she means bc she doesn't say the word, just spells it. She seriously spelled turtle the other day and spelled it tertel and I was like what is this??? Is this some medication I've never heard of? Is this an acronym I don't know???? Nope she just meant turtle. Just say the wordddd.

 

A tow truck has blocked my car in and I can't leave and I'm in a hurry. As soon as I got to the lot they started slowly backing a car up on it and hopefully they move soon!!! I got places to be!

 

I've whined about this before but I'm doing it again lol My mom continues to talk and complain about the same shit every. single. day. It's been years of her doing this and I wish she would make a friend or something bc I'm overwhelmed and can't deal with it all being poured out to me anymore. Especially bc I don't believe in the things she is talking about which makes it very frustrating. If I say anything questioning her, she says I think she's crazy like everyone else. I truly believe she believes what she is saying but I don't.....it's just weird. I don't want her to think that but omg anyone would think she's nuts hearing the shit she is talking about. Which is why I don't talk about it to anyone else bc I don't want them judging her. But having all this put on me is just a lot and I don't want to deal with it anymore. I feel bad about it but I'm just overwhelmed and don't even know how to handle this anymore.

 

When in March, you died on an operating table trying to get a kidney and go into cardiac arrest..and your dad doesn’t show up for 1.5 days....but your sister is having a lapro appendectomy and he’s racing to Missouri (same distance btw).....am I wrong to feel burned?

For years, it’s been different. It’s always her. Even when my mom was alive, she noticed the difference in treatment.

 

That's ridic and I'm sorry you're going thru that. You have every right in the world to feel upset. How is your journey going with the kidney? I remember you posting about what happened in March. Are you doing okay?

 

Thanks for checking, and I’m at a total standstill. My heart function is barely better and we can’t do anything until it is :( but I’m doing just fine. Working and back into my normal routine!

I don't understand guy I work with sometimes. I went to go put something in a clients room at the same time he was changing the bed sheets and he sets the sheets down and walks out without saying anything, probably expecting me to do it without asking- or so it seemed. He also changes another clients sheets that I literally changed the next day because he didn't do it when it was suppose to be done. Then he says they should be changed anyway (insert chin scratch emoji)??? It makes no sense for him to say that because when I change them when I feel its necessary, he questions it. What also frustrates me is the other day he went with a client to an appt., therefore I stayed behind. They were gone for half the shift and when he returned it appeared as he was sitting doing nothing or doing unnecessary work while I'm doing everything/trying to juggle 3 tasks at once, no offer to help or jump in and help.

 

Girl from morning shift keeps complaining about petty stuff. She's just one of those people that likes to complain and will move mountains to find the tiniest thing to complain about. Yet there are things, the same things consistently not being done. Also word on the street is mornings aren't nearly as busy as evening but act like they got more jobs to do

 

Friends with kids problems. I was talking about how three of us should go to a new year's party. I wanna have an excuse to kinda dress nice (tbh most of my motivation ha) and idk just do something different. Trying to push myself lately. One friend is down to go, other friend says she feels too guilty because she has kids, and suggested we come to her house to hang with her and her kids on New year's. I'm sry but neither of us wants to do that. Her feelings seemed hurt but idk like is it super unreasonable to wanna go out and not hang out with kids on New years? And her house isn't even in town vs the party that's across the street. Our other friend suggested we do something with the kids earlier at her house in town and then go out later that night and she offered to let the friend and her kids stay the night. which seems like a compromise to me, but it seems like the friend with kids doesn't want to. Idk I obv don't wanna hurt her feelings cause I'm sure if we exclude her she'll be upset, but at the same time like... We're trying to include her and she chose to have kids idk.

 

Had a not so good day at work yesterday to where I was in tears on the way home. First off the shift starts with me given info that morning keeps gossiping on how me and one other person I work with aren't doing are duties (probably on going for them) when we did what was on our list. It seemed like they expected is to what wasn't on our list too because why else would they complain certain areas weren't clean yet those areas are night shifts duties. I've come to the conclusion that these girls are just bullies. They feel some sort of "threat" that maybe someone is catching on quickly and hasn't been in the field that long and they're jealous so they'll go out of their way to say lies to make them look bad. Oh and I've dealt with people in the past like this so my level of anger goes from 0 to 100 real quick, which no one seemed to understand my level of being upset when I tried to explain. There was also one extra person on the shift and i felt like I was doing most of the work while everyone else was literally sitting down doing nothing

 

Waitin for my crippling anxiety/depression to come back like

 

i am totally freaking out because we were able to get our apartment to let us move without breaking the lease because we're moving to a different one of their properties. but we got slammed with a $500 deposit on the new apartment bc of my boyfriend's credit score, so our cost to move in is $1,500 all told with rent and pet deposit. now i get an email from our current apt manager that we will also have to pay rent on the old apt till the 13th of jan bc we technically signed for the other apt on the 15th which counted as our 30 day notice (nvm that we have been trying to get them on this for almost 2 months now bc we are unsafe in our current apt!) .... anyway i have no idea how we are going to make it through this month and i'm trying not to have a panic attack at work!!!!!

 

Minor rant:

Personally, I largely avoid the music forum because too many people get really aggressive over something that doesn't really matter. like, so what if someone doesn't like what you like? It doesn't affect your life. It's a matter of taste. It's not like politics and social issues.

I'm speaking in general, away from the abuse and "art vs artist" discussions.

Please don't isolate people over something like "I don't like this song/album/band". Allow for diversity of opinion in this realm.

I keep seeing so much exaggeration, posts like "lol", literally "you're wrong" etc, it's just not a friendly environment. :/

 

Apple and iPhone are the bane of my existence. Need to copy a file to my phone. Not intuitive. ANdroid you create a folder and drag and drop. I need to find "Apps" to continue...there is no fucking apps on a windows laptop and itunes isn't showing Apps sooooo

It's like this constantly with me and iPhone and it makes me feel like a moron, because one button supposed to be so simple etc NOPE

 

A lot of packages can't be delivered to my building because they deem it unsecured which is super annoying. When I order from Ulta the package gets delivered to my front door. Why can't everyone do that?? I hate having to pick things up from the post office. Luckily it's just a block or two away but like rn it's the weekend/holiday so I won't be able to pick it up for a while. Or some packages get dropped off in the lobby which I'd also be fine with. But not everyone will deliver them. The building has a security code to get in. Seems more secure than leaving something on a front porch where literally anyone could drive by and steal it BUT WHATEVER USPS

 

LinkedIn "Property Investor/Strategyists": I don't know if just my area, but there seems to be a surge in "Property Strategists" or "Property Investors". I do not mean people who are using their own money and investing/ strategizing (I don't mind that), but people who want you to invest your money into property using them. I think the term is "packaging" the deal. It comes across as very amateur, you know that way you can just sense they barely know what they are talking about and are just following a plan from someone elses strategy.

 

Not sure what thread was best to put this in. I feel like I’ve grown distant front my “best friend” since the new job. She use to text me if she wasn’t coming in and now she doesn’t care to and I have to ask. It’s more of a “oh I thought management said something”. Same friend that knew my bday was and didn’t bother to send me a text but rather say it several days later when she saw me. I’ve done a lot of this person and I would get excuses for things she doesn’t want to put any effort in to and it’s obvious. She’s quick to go do something’s with her bf but every time it comes to something she’s suppose to get from my place there’s always an excuse why she can’t come that day and will literally plan it on a day I have plans and choose an unreasonable time. I don’t know what to do anymore

 

My boyfriend and I got asked like 50 million times when we’re getting married over the holiday and it’s like idk are y’all gonna pay for it? No? Then mine your own business.

Related- we have plans to get these very cool meteorite wedding bands that a friend’s dad makes, so I mentioned it would be best to just propose with a silver band since diamonds are dumb and I’d rather we save the money for the cool bands we actually want...and everyone flipped OUT. Sorry for being sensible??? What is it you want from us???

 

I totally can relate to your position. I am getting that all the time too. I have been going out with my Girlfriend for years since high school and through uni, professional qualifying ,etc. We spent the past year going on some big holidays (while we had the chance), and are saving for a house. We both would rather spend all our money getting a big deposit so we can get the best house.

 

It’s just one of these things like yeah, we plan to get married. But we live together, have two cats, and have a joint bank account. Our relationship stability and seriousness is in no way dependent on marriage. It’s just such a nosy question too.
