I don't understand what people wanted Taggart to do? He hadn't taken the FSU job so he kept doing the Oregon job in the mean time.

He didn't, I can show you tons of these recruits and teams takes. He left them totally in the dark, hardly went out and kept an abnormally super low profile. He recruited one day and it was the day he used the ducks jet to meet with FSU while wearing a interview outfit lol it was a real bad look. Made jimbo going dark for a few days look classy. Don't know if it was his intention or he thought he had the job for a long time and they waited forever to get it done but it wasn't great

So whoever asked the question before - Julez is evidently an Oregon fan.

Never said that, I just keep up with stories and watch a lot of PAC 12. Why do you have to use me explaining what happened as an excuse to talk shit? Come on dude. You were wrong, get over it.

    And as always Fuck FSU

Willie Taggart was there a year. Jimbo Fisher was held up to be the heir to a legend. The difference is immeasurable.

It's not about being beholden to a coach it's about how shitty the coach was and the damage he left in the last two weeks, they have 11 days to get ready for a bowl and to try to get back what might be like 10 recruits. Yes, jimbo also did similar damage I get it.

You're vastly overrating the amount of actual recruiting a head coach does for a program. He is the closer. Unless his staff completely stopped recruiting while he was in touch with FSU (doubt it), it's disingenuous, IMO, to say he wasn't doing his job.

Taggart did the exact same thing Fisher did except Taggart upgraded while Fisher downgrades. If I am looking at two coachless programs, one lost their coach because he upgraded to his dream job and the other downgrades just to get out of town, the latter is undeniably worse looking.

But whatever recruiting he/they did do on our behalf is completely voided by him bailing.
    We're fucked, again.

He’s handling like just about every other coach that leaves his program.

Leavitt leaving is 10x more damaging than Taggart going.

Listen, I get it. Recruits have the right to be mad, fans have the right to be mad, and it's also still possible that Taggart didn't do anything particularly wrong. All three things are allowed to happen at the same time.

I'm just never going be okay with a coach so transparently using a program they claim to be invested in as nothing more than a rung up the ladder.
Yes, the system in place allows it to happen but we shouldn't have to be okay with coaches taking advantage of a morally bankrupt system with no regard for the kids they sign up to lead.

How many homes do these guys go into each recruiting cycle to sell the parents on how they're going to take care of their kids the next 4 years, and less than a year later they're gone.
It may be all well and good in the eyes of the NCAA but I don't think it's fair to say it's not wrong.
