i've been playing XMU a lot because i carpool and i don't want to put anything...too weird on. it's interesting the songs that get nonstop airplay on there, seems to differ from the general hyped indie scene which has been fascinating to look at. i think i've heard like three arcade fire songs 100 times at this point, as well as that new pornographers song a billion times as well

I don't have Sirius, just local radio station, which is usually way behind on that

yeah, nothing I want to hear on the interstate more than someone singing "the day I die..the day I die...where will we be?"

its a TWFM kind of morning. its fucking crazy that, and i know this is a Bad Take, TWFM is probably my least favorite of the last 5 albums and yet its still like a 9/10 wonderful album like thats a special kind of magic right there

    amazing show last night

thought the setlist was good, not great, but they switch it around so much and their discography is so expansive that any given show could have two to three songs switched around that are your favorites or lesser so

They were great last night. Probably the least I’ve been emotionally engaged with their live show but they were still incredible. It was great to see nearly the whole album (10/12), but such a shame there was no Squalor Victoria, their best live track imo. I had chills when they played Guilty Party, but Day I Die was probably the best live track from the new album. Terrible Love blew the place up, easily the set highlight.

    And in Hamilton tonight

  21. I made the trek up for this one. It was amazing and I had ridiculous seats and the venue was super nice (have you been?). I am very jealous of you getting I Should Live in Salt but at the same time I'm glad they mix it up so much cus I got a bunch of stuff they didn't play when I saw them in Pittsburgh earlier in the tour.

I haven't been to the venue! I originally had tickets for the Hamilton show but then ended up getting Toronto tickets (way easier to do since I live in Toronto). The Hamilton setlist is great too, so good that I wish I had been in the position to go to both shows. Would have loved to see Squalor Victoria and Apartment Story. Some of my favorites from the Toronto show weren't on the Hamilton show (Dark Side of the Gym, Slow Show, I Should Live in Salt, Vanderlyle).

I forgot to mention it in my original post, but my seats for the Toronto show were so close that I actually just got to stand right at the stage the whole show. None of these are zoomed. Last pic is from when they closed with Vanderlyle. Matt was like right in front of my for the whole last half of the song. The more I think about the show, the most I appreciate it. They're one band I'll never miss when they come through.
