So far in this 4 game series, Harper has had 18 plate appearances, only 4 at bats, 1 hit, 1 RBI, 0 HRs, 13 walks, 1 HBP, 1 sac fly, 3 runs scored.

13 walks. We've been straight avoiding him all series.

I got one of these for free. Was hoping I wouldn't need it this year, but it's not looking that way.

 

I won't be mad if the Cubs lose this game because there are some serious unfuckable trust fund bro nerds behind home plate being just remarkably shitty to everyone on the other team. I want them to be bummed out more than I want the Cubs to win at this point.

Cubs fans are by and large really good, nice people who have spent their entire lives disappointed and hopeless, but then there's a subset of the fan base that are opportunistic bro types. It sucks and I don't get the mindset or how they see their behavior as acceptable.

 

I want a Rizzo winner right here to stick it to Papelbon.

 

Yeah it's definitely a mixed bag with every team, but I feel the Cubs' past has humbled their fans to the less assy side of the spectrum. I think that's probably why I'm especially annoyed with the dickblasts behind home right now.

Still baffles me why, unless in the event of avoiding a throw up high/off the base, why anyone thinks sliding into first is faster than running through.

I think this every time I see someone slide into first. I just don't get it. As a professional athlete, you have to know that you're decelerating while you slide, right?

Severino looks like he finally figured out his stuff. Can't hold the Pedroia homer against him too much when I'm pretty sure this is the only place that ball goes out.

 

And it worked to perfection.

 

8 K's over 5 is nothing to dismiss despite being 3-0 down. He's coming around and it's a good sign for our staff. Now if we can only hit the ball. I bet Aaron Boone has some pointers on the knuckle ball lol
