    Damn, missed the Deftones discussion.

I fucking love White Pony and I'll take that album with me to the grave for changing my perception of what metal music could sound like, but Diamond Eyes is the best Deftones album because every song on there bops. I see people say White Pony is the most overrated album and I can see why, but I'd say Around The Fur is their most overrated. Gore is such a fucking dope album and still one of my favorites from last year. Top 3 album from them for me. The production/mixing isn't good, but the songs sure as hell are. KNY is a cool album that has grown back on me. I actually prefer tbe lengthier songs on that album, like Rosemary, Entombed, and Tempest. Rosemary is one of their best songs period. Also, shame on everybody that didn't mention SNW because that album fucking slaps is right up there with their best work.

Anyways, this Glassjaw album is cool. Need to listen to it more, but I really like the way it sounds.

Entombed is like, the coolest song ever. Just huge and moving and beautiful. I went through several years with SNW as my favorite, but I get a little more bugged by its inconsistencies these days, though it's still fantastic and one of their best. Pink Cellphone should be erased from this earth.

Pompeii is my favorite from this new album rn

if you feel like this record kind of runs together/all sounds the same then I would implore you to listen to these songs individually to see just how different they really are. I know that helped me a ton

Yep, they really start to standout once you give them a little room to breathe.

The tones on this album are just so filthy like god damn that bass

I’ve always loved how Glassjaw has had the open, reverbed drums like they were recorded in a garage. Or just room mics.

Don't bother looking unless you like seeing the words SOLD OUT, which is all I ever see in there.

Who says we can't keep discussing two of the greatest bands? Deftones is amazing. I love Glassjaw too, though it took em a while with a new release.

I've settled on the opinion that Gore is much better than my initial impression, but still not one of my favorites. SNW, Koi No Yokan, Diamond Eyes, and White Pony are pretty much all tied for first with me.

It's the only one I hate. The beat is cool for a verse but everything else is garbage.

aside from here i dont really have a pulse on the Deftones community so idk my luck i figured it was probably beloved lol. like Bryan said above the beat is cool and no disrespect towards Annie Hardy but it just kinda grates on me and it just sticks out so bad

I love Annie too, so it kind of hurts that she got stuck with that claim to fame among the Deftones community.

Yeah it really turns me off from checking out other stuff she does even though her voice is good, haha.

And I loveeeee the Disintegration inspired cover of SNW, as I'm sure you do too

yes yes yes I know Chinos a big, big Cure fan and I hear a lot of the gothic Head On The Door/Pornography/Disintegration Cure influence on SNW and Gore

For sure, those are definitely their most cure esque albums though the influence is heaviest on Team Sleep and maybe even a bit on Crosses
