Hodgy's voice is so different now but I'm really happy about new MellowHype, I hope they drop an album and go on tour next year

I would recommend Hodgy's album from late last year, it was his debut technically and I really enjoyed it a lot but it pretty much went completely unrecognized

 

New Chief Keef is very good

I can’t even wrap my head around what he’s done on Thot Breakers. One of the most singular, abstract things I’ve heard in ages.

 

Seriously one of the most incredible pieces of music I've ever heard, his versatility is insane. Those songs randomly pop in my head all the time and it'll take me a second to place it. Also I was on the train the other day and heard some middle school kids rapping "Love Sosa," speaks to the power of his hooks so much

 

I need to listen to Dedication.... and I should spend more time with Thot Breaker too, because I jam Two Zero One Seven a lot, but only listened to Thot Breaker once or twice and then kinda forgot about it.

 

Idk how I feel about that, I haven’t liked Big Sean since Dark Sky and even then he got corny sometimes

 

I'll listen for Metro.

Big Sean's album this year was pretty good

 

Also I just wanna point out Droptopwop, Nav and Metro Boomin, Without Warning, and this Big Sean collab makes four albums in a year for young metro. And that’s not counting all the singles he’s produced and the 9 out of 14 tracks he did on 21 Savage’s album. Just incredible.

 

Big Seans album was immensely forgettable imo. A pretty forgettable rapper in general. Hes still put out a few bangers tho
