She could, Alexa pulls it off fairly well when booked that way (I think her knockout punch is actually pretty believable). But then Liv spoke, doing some weird Valley Girl thing...her delivery at :25 and 1:11 sound like bad versions of Bayley trying to sound tough

 

Liv is just not ready to be on tv.

 

I'm honestly not even sure why they had Sarah Logan talk at all. It seems like they'd want to use her as the "enforcer" of the group. That role is usually better booked when they don't say anything and are just a threatening presence in the background. Let their fists do the talking kind of thing.

 

I guess they had to make the leaders Paige and ruby "stick out" by making both the other girls in each group become orange? Why is the same storyline on both shows? Do they think we don't notice? Fuck Vince

 

Still think the only way Cody and The Bucks sell out 10k is if they get Punk and/or Bryan to wrestle it

 

would defeat the purpose imo. if Meltz says "you can't sell 10k" and they say "yes we can" and then 10k people pay to see DBry/Punk... what do they prove?

 

The card that they put together has to be incredible to sell a 10K arena.

 

I think Cody already put it out there that he wants to face Bryan at it

 

The "most dangerous women in the world" line Ruby used to describe Liv and Sarah was laughably bad. Don't know how she said that with a straight face.

 

i just feel like saying "we can sell 10k!" and then essentially signing WWE talent proves Meltz's point more than theirs.

 

Is Meltzer saying the Bucks/Cody/Elite cannot sell 10K or that them, in conjunction with NJPW can't sell 10K?

Even if they don't sell out, they win. Larger building is going to be amazing for merch sales. Cody is saying that guys are begging to get on the show. I'm sure they'll be willing to take less on their booking fee. I think if they book PWG talent with Punk and/or Bryan, they can easily hit somewhere around 6-7K. The biggest issue they are going to have is picking a place. I think NYC and LA are the two most practical places, since they are hub destinations.

 

Selfishly I hope it's in Chicago so I have a realistic chance of going

 

the other aspect is they would be in charge of cost of entry, and as organizers and marquee talent they can make it super affordable if they so choose. there's a lot in their favor.

 

If it's in Chicago and they magically convince Punk to be on the card, they'll sell out the building, IMO.

 

the Punk odds are decent I'd say, as I imagine his role would be a multi-man tag teaming the The Elite rather than a singles match. low stress, high fun factor.

 

Really? I'd put it at less than 5% he wrestles.

 

Even that seems high...he is gonna be at UFC this weekend trying to get another fight. If that falls through, maybe he'd do it just for the sake of it.

 

That said, as someone who wants to see WWE pushed to compete....a WK12 match with Jericho followed by CM Punk appearing at a Cody/Bucks show a couple months later is something nobody could have even dreamed up 6 months ago

there's been news about his uncertain MMA future, and Matt Jackson said that Punk gave his word that if he ever gets the itch, Matt will be the first person he calls. it's light, it's fun, it's a one off, it'd be a symbolic middle finger to WWE, and Punk wouldn't have a damn soul try to regulate how he did anything. seems perfect.
