That reminds me that I never listened to that Alvvays album after I heard it at the listening party.

The Paste list is pretty solid. I've heard like 3/4 of it and like almost everything I've heard quite a bit. Cool to see them shout out the Nai Palm album. Still haven't listened to the whole thing but everything I've heard is so great.

    Maybe so, maybe not.

Feel like year-end lists are getting pointless now that K Dot is #1 every year.

There are some shockingly good choices on the RS list tho. Shout out Jlin.

    Let it run Supporter

Migos also deserves a lmao have people returned to that album since it dropped? Singles obviously hot but I forgot it was a thing. Same with Khalid, I feel like that made a tiny splash

I asked for Rolling Stone's top ten, not the Bonnaroo line-up + Taylor Swift.

I think the Migos album has a few good tracks outside of the singles, but it being in the top 10 and Thug and Future got left off the list completely?!?!

We can’t all be U2 and have a guaranteed top three slot every time we release an album.

How the fuck did Rolling Stone put Sam Smith's album at #10? That is probably the most forgettable album I've heard in a while.

Strange to put U2 at #3 before it's even been released, although the 3 singles so far have all been there best material in a while. Doubt I'll have that album in my top 10 though.

Also so glad to see so many publications putting Lorde in their top 5. Melodrama is such a great album.

not surprising. like, what albums are you expecting to top lists this year? based on common trends it takes critical acclaim as well as mass appeal, lorde seems to hit both of those marks more than most this year. feel like there really wasn't a big time critical consensus this year

my pitchfork top 3 guess is sza/lorde/kendrick in some order
