im wayyy late but i just caught SD. Great stuff other than the laughable repeat of paige, but the B version, on the B show. Talk about ruining a good moment. Im holding out hope that somehow, they're connected but knowing the WWE probably not

 

probably just call ups to set up the women's Rumble.

 

and the best they could do is "Hey im here and i brought some friends" 2x. Not just 2x, like legit b side version of side a. Goth/Punk, Blonde bombshell, some tough brunette

 

Meltzer said that they've wanted to call up Liv Morgan for a long time now 'because she is pretty'.

The two takeaways I get from that are:

1) I guess Ascension are now face (or at least tweeners)? This fits the Fashion Files story line, but first signs I've seen of a turn actually confirmed.

2) I miss the Revival

It took me a good 5 seconds to realize it wasnt Mandy + Sonya. Liv and Mandy are the same vince stereotype, so that made it especially hard

I didn't think that gimmick could work cause it's centered around these gigantic hammers they have, that they would never get to use in normal matches unless we're getting ref distractions constantly or they're always put in a stip match. It's not like Sting with his bat or Trips with the Sledgehammer, it's in the name of their tag team.

 

Probably about the only way that gimmick gets over, if in Regal/brass knucks style, they find new and creative way to heel their way to victory via the hammers. Everything else about it screams Emmalina-level failure. Even worse because they wasted like 6 months of Luke's career

 

Does he work at all anymore?

 

Mostly House of Hardcore and locals. He was signed with Lucha, got there for a taping, and they fired him right away. lol
