It was proven that the guy is an idiot.

Yeah, wouldn't say it's a hoax but the person definitely has a misunderstanding of some part of the process.

Someone is messing up Sorority Noise on Apple Music EU. Forgettable was taken off like a couple of months ago and now it's back as a 2016 release. I won't stand for this buffoonery!

(I wasn't sure where to post this but I had to vent)

  4. I think they tweeted a while back that they took it off intentionally. It wasn't on Spotify either.

Weird. I did get a notification from Spotify saying they added the record today.

But now it isn't in the right year and I will revolt against this. I might even get an avatar since this one reminds me too much of the EP!

Odd choice to make for a small band.

For those of you with Retina displays on your Macs...do you run the resolution at Default or scaled?

  8. Default on the iMac, scaled for the MacBook.

I run default on the iMac 27", it's the perfect size and gives me a ton of room to work.

I've worked on a 15" Retina Macbook and put that at the "Most Space" scaling.
On my 12" Macbook I keep it in the "More Space" scaling

I'm having a hard time deciding on Apple Music...

I have an iTunes Library that I love and purchased over the years. For example, everything was either purchased on iTunes, CD or came with a digital download from a vinyl record.

I can get the new Student pricing on Apple Music for $4.99 with my college email and Apple ID. If I do this, it doesn't make sense to purchase these albums anymore, but then I'll be paying a monthly bill forever to have access to my music.

What does everyone else do? Do you still purchase albums if you have Apple Music?

I purchase/preorder albums, whether digital or part of a bundle, of bands I really anticipate releases from, and often purchase albums that I find myself coming back to a lot on Apple Music. I also plan on having the student discount, so the fact streaming will be cheaper likely means I'll be buying an extra album or two a month, though I probably only average an album or two a month as it is.

That comes partially out of supporting the artist and partially from paranoia that one day I'll either stop subscribing or some massive technical error will get rid of everything I don't personally own haha

I listen to everything on Apple Music and buy the vinyl/merch/concert tickets of the bands I really love and want to support.

I'll be with you the whole way.

They should just release some small ones like with just Apple Music + wifi...

    Great ideas!

Going to purchase from bands I love and listen to everything else through the service!

Another thing to consider is that even if you buy an album, you can not put it on you phone and just stream it from Apple Music. A bit of a double whammy for the artist: you bought the music AND they get the streaming revenue.

  16. Steaming + vinyl has worked for me for years—love that setup.

Typically what I do too when I really like an album. Although, I recently bought Your Favorite Weapon and the download code didn't work so I'm a little annoyed. Emailed A to Z twice and no response.

Ok - so Apple Music definitely effed up my library (on my phone) with the iTunes Music Library.

Albums that I've purchased via CD and synced up with iTunes now have messed up artwork on my iPhone. Live CDs have matched with album versions.

I turned off iTunes Music Library on my phone and everything is working properly again. But now I can't add any new music to My Music.

How did you guys fix this problem? Part of me is thinking to keep the music I own separate with iTunes and doing streaming through Spotify. Any thoughts?

The feasibility kind of depends on how big your library is and how much is messed up, but I just left everything on and fixed it manually. Wasn't that big of a deal, maybe because I've gotten used to iTunes trying to destroy my library through the years.

I only did it on my phone. So, if I do it on my Mac I can go through and manually update the album artwork which should fix everything on my iPhone?

  21. does anyone know how to fix the problem with apple music where a song is stuck downloading?

This has been happening to me too. I just delete it, restart my iPhone, then re-download.

It's a pain, it seems to happen every time I download

Well, my school isn't on the list that are eligible for the student membership. So that kinda pisses me off.
