I’ll be honest and say it’s a little bit of both. After I posted it, I kind of giggled as well and then thought “I’ll just leave it like that!”

I want someone else to listen to the final track Excruciating and tell me if they also think that’s Jose Mengan from XM Radio’s Liquid Metal.

Can't wait to listen to it. Max has been hyping it for a while now, saying it's the best album he's put out in years.

It really is. You can tell he really put some love (or hate) into it.

The song Psychosis is totally out of place but is an amazing track.
Hellfire has a Godflesh touch courtesy of Justin and it’s really good.

I listened to that earlier today at work and yeah it’s great, def the best thing Max has done in years. I also echo Nate in that Pychosis is awesome and definitely stood out but yeah the album slams.

I was just listening to this album for the first time in ages, it came out a few years back now and it’s still so damn good. I’m rubbish with comparisons but they definitely take a lot of influence from Dillinger and converge.

They’re a local band to me and I figured I’d post it to here for you guys to check out. They’re definitely one of the best uk bands on the hardcore/metal scene and they should have a new album dropping early next year.

    Show last night was dope.

Gatecreeper is heavy as hell and the songs sound so sick live. It's funny bc I really didn't think much of their debut last year, kinda just felt like mediocre Entombed worship. But that's not a bad a thing, and the new 7" songs definitely brought me around to liking them. They killed it.

Power Trip was insane. They by far had the most energy of the 3 bands and people went nuts. It's funny because you had this crossover thrash band sandwiched in between two death metal acts, one of which is legendary, and you had all these hardcore kids and metalheads in the crowd equally going crazy. It was awesome.

I've mentioned before that I never really listened to CC. I've since listened to a few albums and went through their set multiple times this week leading up to the show. I left about 8 or 9 songs into their 18 song set. I wanted to stick around and catch some of the legendary band given that I paid to be there. Not a lot of energy, and I didn't realize how old they are (which sounds dumb given that they've been around for like 30 years lol). Glad I was able to witness them live.

Funny aside: the drunk girl beside me getting so excited when she looked at the setlist and realized they were playing her favorite song, I Cum Blood.

That sounds sick, Power Trip sets are always wild and Gatecreeper won me over live. Would definitely go if it wasn’t me by myself haha

I’ve seen a few by myself like Nada Surf, John Darnielle, but punk/metal shows seem like a more social event to me tbh

I tried listening to the Artificial Brain record a bit but, to me, the vocals meshed with the proggier metal style like oil and water. Going to listen more
