definitely true. just saying when it comes to actually getting bigger they probably aren't doing what's "best" but that's what i would do in their situation i think

 

People been posting about them on deja entinder they must be huge

of course they know the hotelier home was huge in the "emo" scene

Seeing this band next week is something I’m very much looking forward too and am hoping will be a great healing experience

I'm thinking it will be. I needed something to listen to on my way to work this morning to clear my mind a bit and I put on HLNPIT. I found it very helpful. It's been awhile since I've listened to that record.

 

I listened to it last night, it was extremely therapeutic. The end of wildflowers hit Reallly hard.

 

Seeing them tonight in Lansing at the same place I saw them almost exactly 2 years ago!

BTW, been listening to Oso Oso more, who is opening with them...can someone explain to me what the Yunahon Mixtape is?

I mean, they put naked old people on the cover of the album. I don't think they care about how "big" they get.

 

i know that, believe me, haha. i'm not saying that they're doing something "wrong" i'm just saying they're not approaching what would be best for them popularitywise. nothing to do with what their actual goals are

 

One of their merch items is a massive flag with an old dude's dick on it. Last time I saw them I was close to the merch table and there wasn't much room in the crowd so I was stuck there. The whole show I had an elderly man's shriveled wangle in my peripheral vision. I understand-- transcendentalism and being one with nature, yadda yadda, but that shit narsty.

 

My girlfriend wanted us to get that flag for our apartment lol

so the concert last night was great. crowd got a little crazy at first, Christian diffused it by reminding everyone that this is a sad boy concert and the only acceptable dance move was bopping lol. All songs were from Goodness and Home, but I was surprised that they dropped Housebroken from the setlist. Talked to a couple band members after and they said they just started writing the new record so they have no idea when it would be done...also asked if they'll be adding back in Hotel Year-era songs and there was a good chance they would, which I'm stoked about. Funny coincidence, Christian and I were dressed almost exactly the same that night...add to that that we both have dark brown long wavy hair and we kinda looked like twins which was bizarre. Good times!

 

Make Nite Ratz a regular addition imo

 

Nite Ratz is still maybe their best song

 

Just play Weathered goddamnit

No I’ve seen them play it plenty pre-name change but I feel like that’s the song that fits in best with their current material

 

Wait they started playing house broken again? And also news of new Music is all I need... like just the prospect that we may get another album is enough for me.
