Seen a few things that if Affleck is out for solo film, Reeves wants Jake Gyllenhaal. All speculation though.

 

I don’t know why, but I can’t really picture Gyllenhaal as Batman.

 

Gyllenhaal is one of my favorite actors, but I never pictured him in this role.

Charles Roven, producer of Justice League but NOT Batman, said this in an interview with CBM.

 

My first thoughts were that I wasn't into it, but the more I think about it the more I'd be okay seeing it. Gyllenhaal is phenomenal. The only thing I can't really see if his voice as Bruce Wayne, small quirk though.

I definitely want Affleck to stay, just wish he'd make up his mind about it.

 

Gyllenhaal's stretch from 2011-2014 is incredible. I wonder how he feels about being part of a superhero franchise. I imagine WB would want to sign a multi-film deal. Then again, it seems like they didn't with Affleck for some reason.

But ya, hopefully Batfleck stays.

 

I would prefer this movie be completely separate from the DCU. That includes Afflecks Batman

 

He was up for Batman Begins I think, and has been noted saying he would want to be a part of something like that, i'd have to go hunting for it though. Between his performance in BvS and now JL, I really don't get hate for Batfleck besides people not liking Ben, aside from his performance.

 

Do not want that at all, but if it ends up being all we get, then that's all we get haha.

 

I don’t hate Affleck at all, I really hate his Batman robot voice, but it’s going to be tough watching the realistic gritty detective Batman story Reeves wants to make while also thinking about how this Batman was just fighting mutant space bugs with some gods and a cyborg

 

I think Gyllenhaal can do it. Would be cool for them to go after someone a little more under-the-radar though. Like how Christian Bale was famous and well-known but wasn’t the A-List superstar he is today before Batman Begins.

 

Yeah I can see that. While within the history of Batfleck, I think it would be cool if it was like 5 years pre-BvS or even earlier. Affleck gets the gray hairs for Bruce it seems, so I don't think that would be an issue. I think Reeves has said the goal is to not have it biggy pack off of any other DCEU film.

 

Still think Armie Hammer would be fantastic.

 

Him I kind of don’t see in the role. I’d have to think about it before I could suggest someone myself though.

No but I just looked it up. Adam Brody as Barry Allen would’ve been cool.

 

Yeah at the time I think it would have been really cool.

 

Clearly, the issue with DCEU is that it's a league and not friends. Gyllenhaal should be brought in with his sister to be the Wonder Twins that brings the characters and the world outside watching together.

 

Remember when Jake Gyllenhaal was almost Spider-Man?

 

bring Alicia Vikander in as Catwoman or Poison Ivy, retcon Man From UNCLE 2 into a Batman movie

 

At least he nabbed that Aquaman 2 role.

 

Yeah but Michael Bay directed that garbage.
