So after two weeks of working a non retail job I can say

Tbh I don't know if I can come back from this. You know what I'm talking about. It sucks but yes I'll be around more often...eventually

 

When I'm ready I guess. Problem is I don't know when that will be at this point.

would you rather everytime you hear something sad or bad, you smile - OR, would you rather just totally not have the ability to smile at all. people would think youre a total jerk either way, but pick your poison.

Second. I rarely smile to begin with

 

People already (rightly) think I'm a jerk but I guess I'd probably take the smiling at sad stuff, even though I don't like to smile I think that not ever smiling is worse

Ugh that’s so annoying.

A similar thing happened to me a few years ago on Christmas Eve.
I had bought my wife tickets to Disneyland, that day I thought it would be cute if I put the tickets in a Disney movie case, so I swung by BestBuy on my way home.
As soon as I turned away from the register a camera was in my face, and a reporter was asking me questions. She asked “Are you buying a Christmas present? If so, who’s it for?”. I was caught off guard and responded “yeah, it’s for my wife. Umm I’m in a hurry and really don’t want to be interviewed.” Then I just walked away.
By the time I got home my wife had already gotten a text from her coworker saying I was in a news story about last minute Christmas shoppers buying her gift. :/
