The entire band is incredible! I've known them for a few years now (since their first NJ at Skate and Surf 2013) and we've always hung out after their shows. We'd make dinner plans at 11pm and wouldn't leave the venue until almost 1 since they insist on talking with everyone after every show. It wouldn't be a quick "hey, thanks for coming, see you later" either. The entire band would have 20 minute convos with everyone. If someone wanted a full band pic, they would stop what they were doing and pose for the pic. I think they're the only band that if they had to charge for a VIP meet and greet package, they would severely undercharge for what they'd provide.

 

I totally agree! I had two full convos with tyler and full convos with the rest. And I couldn't see their meet and greets being more than $40

I never liked them, I had a feeling this would happen with them. They definitely don't deserve playing huge venues like they are

 

hopefully it becomes more often, let's get rid of all these dudes who take advantage of their fame as a band member now instead of letting them take advantage of more people

 

yeah, i mostly meant it in a way in which this has already happened and continues to happen so the more often these things come out the better. pushing more women to fill the spaces that the abusive men will be leaving is what we should all do, taking down this boys club will put better influences in place

 

Would appreciate if we could clear out all the shitty abusers by the end of 2017 and have a nice 2018

At this rate, we might have a nice Thanksgiving and Holiday season haha. Seriously though, I'm sure I'm not the only one feeling this but I'm feeling a ton of emotions reading all of these stories everyday. I'm proud of everyone getting the courage to come forward but I'm also incredibly sad at their stories. I'm pissed that this has been happening for way too long but I'm glad people are now aware of these assholes. It's a strange roller coaster for everyone and I couldn't imagine what these victims are feeling. Obviously this will never end but hopefully we can get rid of at least 95% of these problems.

 

Every one always seems surprised that this is "now" an every day thing.... it's actually close to a thousand times a day, and has been. You guys pay WAY too much attention to the media and that's absolutely part of the problem.

I'm sure most, if not, all of us are aware that this is a serious problem that happens everyday outside of the entertainment world. Within the entertainment world, we actually have the power to spread the word about these people and make some sort of a difference. With all of this, it's baby steps. Also, the media is actually doing a good thing for once and reporting these cases. I'm not sure what the problem is with the media's take in all of this.

What scares me the most is that with multiple new accusations and stories every day, more and more of these reports will fall through the cracks with the limited attention span people typically have.

Like the WCAR post has what, 6 comments at this point? It's not a perfect measure, but I'm willing to bet that the accusation/thread would've have a lot more attention a month or two ago.

I wouldn't rely on this website's comment numbers to make up your mind about something falling through the cracks. It has 350 RTs on Twitter and it also helped another person to come forward against Abandon All Ships and a few more bands I believe. Obviously not every story will have the same impact that Jesse Lacey had but if the word is out there, and more people share it, the more eyes it'll receive. It might get to the point where this story will pop up if you google Kyle's name or WCAR.

 

Jesus Christ, Analog and it's little 2 foot stage in Portland is literally the most unsafe place for this type of show lol. If I hit this up it's a definite staying to the side of the crowd show.

I hate to be against the victim, but the PTV thing I can't see happening. Maybe then but he's changed. I've met him multiple times and he's a great guy. Especially to girl fans. Obviously this doesn't excuse his actions but I feel as he has changed from what he was then
