Luckily my sister has moved to London now so I’ve not wasted money on a hotel or anything. Think I’m gonna try and get tickets for a different gig that night now!

 

Mac Demarco and Queens Of The Stone Age are both playing that night if they interest you.

 

The gigs have been cancelled - not postponed. Just received an e-mail from the ticket company confirming so:

 

Really sorry to hear that - makes me sad to see people had spent so much to get to places. Where were you seeing them? I saw someone on FB was flying from Australia to the Scotland show. Crazy.

 

I’m gonna try and get tickets for Nothing But Thieves it’s sold out but there’s a few spares on twickets

 

Yeah, thought that was the case. They usually word it all differently if it is postponed because the tickets are transferable for the rearranged gig. Why they put 'postponed' in the social media posts is beyond me.

 

Trying to down play it I suppose

 

I was going to both London & Glasgow with my husband. So I'd got train tickets Newcastle > London > Glasgow > Newcastle & three nights hotel - all non-refundable rates. No doubt some people will have spent way more than me & flying from Oz is crazy dedicated. I hope the person can still enjoy Scotland regardless.

Bleugh I am not feeling life today even though cancelling was absolutely the right thing to do.

 

I hope you are able to have an amazing time with your husband still. A cool UK tour of your own for a few days together.

 

Probably my favorite tour ever. Shoot, if it’s the poster I’m thinking of, I have the tree tattooed on me.

 

I feel like a lot of people who committed to travel can make the best of a bad situation, yeah.

Does anyone know if Ticketmaster UK automatically refunds or you have to request? I know in the states it's automatic but wanted to make sure. I gotta remember to cancel my flight to Dublin too. At least I've still got the Cursed Child play to look forward to, that was my main reason to flying to the UK during this freezing time of year and Brand New just ended up being an (at the time) extra bonus.

Great bands are touring the UK all the time. I suggest you check songkick.net for other shows in the time you’re there, I’m sure you’ll find something :)

 

I wish those travelling were able to stay longer and come to Wolf Alice at Ally Pally a few days later

I’ll still be travelling to London and enjoying a night around town. Love the place so it will still be great, probably have a walk around Hyde Park for that Wonderland thing.

 

Can I ask, did you purchase though Ticketmaster? My friend got mine from his account and he said he’d look into it tonight about getting the refund. Just wondering if he will have to contact about a refund or if they will do automatically (As I say, i don’t know if you purchased from somewhere else) thank you

 

I paid through gigsandtours.com who e-mailed me without me needing to contact them. But tell them to double check with their seller for clarity, for sure.
